Yellowfin Sportfishing takes you on a fishing trip around the Catalina Island and beyond to have a go at some of the top saltwater predators, including Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, and more. And, if you’d like to spend the day fishing for Roosterfish, Snapper, Mackerel, and a lot more - you’ve got it. The crew will make sure you have a fine day on the water.
Your vessel for the day is a custom built 31’ offshore sportfishing boat named ‘Angelica’. Powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki engines, equipped with GPS and a fishfinder, this vessel is a good choice if you want to land an impressive catch and come back to brag about it.
‘Angelica’ also features a tuna tower, cabin, toilet, carries a range of rods and tackle from Penn and Shimano, has safety gear, and can take up to five people. She is fit to do trolling and bottom fishing and has downriggers and outriggers to help you get the fish.
At the helm of ‘Angelica’ you will find Capt. Luis Lopez who’s been in the business for 15 years and has been a fisherman his whole life. His local knowledge will be of help when you set out.
As for your trip, you will get all tackle and gear, as well as lures and dead bait. If you want to fish with live bait, let the crew know before the trip. There will be snacks and drinks on half day trips, and full day trips will also include lunch. Kids are welcome to come along. You can keep the catch and the mate will clean it for you.
Please note that you must release all Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Marlin, Sailfish. So, don’t forget to bring a camera! Also pack sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Remember to purchase a fishing license as you may be requested to present it.
