Destin FL, United States

The Pescador III is a 51’ custom-built Sportfisher that can accommodate up to 16 passengers, air-conditioned and with a toilet on board. All equipment necessary for you to fish is provided, including the fishing licenses; the vessel is also outfitted with a variety of navigational gear, such as GPS, VHF radio, radar and sonar. All you need to bring on board is your own food and drinks.

Pescador III is captained by Mike Whitley, a United States military veteran that’s always happy to support the U.S. troops and show them a good time on the water. To that end, please note that military discounts are offered for fishing trips aboard Captain Whitley’s boat. Mike started his fishing charter business because he loves to fish and enjoys seeing the joy that fishing brings to people he serves on The Pescador III.

Pescador’s First Mate will be happy to clean and bag your catch for you once you get back to the dock. The crew specializes in various types of fishing that Destin is known for - from bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Grouper and Amberjack, to trolling for King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish, or Marlin. Cobia runs usually span from mid-March through May. Fishing trips range from 4 hours to up to 48 hours in length.

In addition to standard fishing trips, Pescador also offers private dolphin, sunset and crab island cruises. These are completely personalized expeditions, custom-tailored to your group, so Captain Mike is able to adjust the trip length or even combine trips to meet your specific needs.

Captain Mike has owned Pescador III for a decade now, but has been fishing the prolific Florida waters ever since he was a kid. He loves the way people's faces light up when they catch their first fish aboard his 51' Sportfisher. In his own words: 'I get my excitement from watching the kids or ladies catch fish for the first time. Or the guys catching their biggest fish ever. Even though I personally don't fish as much, that’s my way of getting pleasure from fishing - and it feels great.'

Captain Brad was great. First Mate Don was AMAZING!! We kept him hopping with our group of 12. He offered us fruit right after leaving dock, answered all our questions and took great care of the kids. Kept 95 vermillion snapper, and had the other species not been closed, we would have had to many to count. We will definitely use them again next time we visit. Thanks guys!!! Hope you enjoyed your filets as much as we did. Thanks for the recipe also Captain Brad! Delicious!
