Fishlander Charters calls for anglers, fishers, and lake water admirers to step on board! Captain James takes you after Coho, Chinook, loads of Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Steelhead and Atlantic Salmon. All on the “Lake of Shining Waters.”
You’ll set out from Sodus Point, a hamlet lying where the Sodus Bay touches Lake Ontario. From there you’ll ride atop a 31’ Baha Cruiser, built for sportfishing pleasure of up to 6 anglers. It is powered by twin Twin MerCruiser engines that can reach speeds of up to 30 knots and easily weather the lake waters.
The fishing gear will be supplied on board. Grab your licenses, some snacks and drinks, and head out. The boat carries the safety equipment, life jackets, and also has a toilet. It has reliable navigation electronics to put you on track.
The fish palette in the area varies throughout the season, and so do the routes you’ll take. Early in the spring, the bite takes place near the shoreline, and then moves further out. Capt. James knows where to take you: “Fish with me in April when we are catching lots of Brown Trout along the shoreline, we might even get a Coho Salmon or some Steelhead.”
“Rather fish in May? Ok, let’s go get some more Browns! Steelhead fishing is getting really good, starting to catch some King Salmon in the 10 to 15 lb class. Well, what about June? More kings starting to show up – not the real big ones – but more of them in the 10 to 20 lb class. Still getting Steelhead and Browns and some Coho Salmon, too.”
“July and August offer up the big boys, now we are starting to catch our bigger Salmon in the 20 to 35 lb range. Good time of the year to come, all of our fish have been eating and putting on weight. September and October are also big fish months, fish have been eating, getting ready to run up the creeks, streams, and rivers for the winter.”
“When should you come? When you can. Nothing beats a great day of fishing.” Join Fishlander Charters and have a fishing adventure you won’t forget!
