Reel Em Up Fishing - Astoria

Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures fishes Astoria in August. One month packed with action at the mouth of the Columbia River. Where these river banks touch the Pacific Ocean, that’s where prime time fishing takes place.

Captain Rod of Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures fishes this mighty river all year round. He spends most of his time near Portland, and takes anglers on fine fishing trips there. Then, when Astoria fishing is ripe in August, his nomadic charter moves there to do what it does best - help people land Salmon with comfort and precision.

If your trip takes place some other time during the year, you can still get this sought after captain. To find about his route, have a look at his other listings - just scroll down and click on his name.

When you hit Astoria with captain Rod, you’ll cast your lure from a 28’ Alumaweld Formula Vee aluminum fishing boat. Up to six anglers can come along. Equipped with pro navigational gadgets, the vessel will take you on a safe ride around these waters.

Then when rods get out, the fish will start biting. To reel them in you’ll need to make the line move the right way. Coho and Chinook Salmon - these beauties will put up a good fight, and make for a great dinner.

Novices and seasoned fishermen, this one is for you. If you want to see both Astoria and her rich fisheries, book your spot. Captain Rod will make sure you get what you came for!

Captain Rod likes seeing other people catch fish as much as he likes reeling in one himself. The excitement and thrill of the chase is what drives him to provide professional service. After taking a fishing trip at the age of 15, he got hooked on angling, and ever since has been fishing in the area, taking others outdoors and having fun while doing it. He'll provide help and information, so you can focus on pure fishing.
