Native Sportfishing

Native Sportfishing takes you on fishing trips around Tampa Bay waters. The fishing here is consistent year round, and the fisheries are crammed with Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Cobia, and many more. You can be a novice angler eager to try fishing or a veteran fisherman, either way, Capt. Ben has you covered.

Ben grew up on these waters, fishing often with his dad and brother. He knows the fisheries well and will work to put you on fish. He aims to make your trip unforgettable, no matter how skillful you are. He’s had many repeat customers over the years and will help you land your dream catch.

You will be joining Ben on his 25’ Chawk center console. The boat is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha Sho engine and can reach the speeds of up to 40 knots. The vessel is equipped with GPS, a fishfinder, and a VHF radio, stores safety equipment, and features a wireless trolling motor. There is an ice box onboard and a live well. The boat can accommodate up to six anglers.

Fishing trips with Capt. Ben will take you fishing around the shallow flats waters where you can do sight fishing. This is a fun activity for both kids and seasoned anglers. Another option is to explore the inshore waters along the beautiful beaches that Tampa Bay boasts. Snook and Redfish can get really big here, and Tarpon will be as feisty as ever.

Captain Ben uses top quality equipment and takes pride in being professional and dedicated to his customers. Each cast is important and Ben will work hard to make your trip enjoyable and productive. He will supply all the gear and the license.
You only need to bring food and drinks. It’s good to have a cap on, as well as sunglasses, sun protection, and comfortable clothes and footwear. Of course, you’ll want to have a camera by your side to take a good shot of your catch.

Full day Tarpon trips are always fun. You'll start early in the morning and then fish along the majestic beaches until lunch time. Then you'd usually make a stop for lunch at a waterfront restaurant, then head out for the hot afternoon bite. If the group catches enough Tarpon in the morning session, we might try something different in the afternoon such as Snook fishing. Bring your food and drinks, pack a cap, sunglasses, sun protection, and adequate clothes. The trip is suitable for seasoned anglers.
