We went for a half-day morning trip. It was a dad and sons get together before college and high school starts. We got there early, the captain was there early. We were on fish 10 minutes after the boat stopped and bait was in the water. Everyone caught fish in the first half of the morning and when the bite slowed, our captain pivoted to different tactics in a different area. By the time the boat stopped at the next spot, we were on fish in another 10 minutes. But it was a very successful trip. We caught good sized catfish in the first half of the morning, and then we’re on hybrids and bass on the second half. I would highly recommend booking with Fishers of Men !

My two grandsons and I had an incredibly wonderful time fishing with Captain Justin on Lake Norman. Xavier (7) had never been fishing before. On his first cast, he caught a huge striper bass! Grandson Cayden (13) caught about a dozen fish, some quite large. Over four hours, in all we reeled in about thirty fish. Fantastic! The kids were elated. Captain Justin was outstanding in every respect. He is most patient and works extremely well with children. I recommend Justin Goodson in the strongest terms possible. If you book a fishing trip with Justin, I guarantee uou will not be disappointed!

Surprised my son before starting kindergarten with his first fishing trip. Captain Justin met us at sunrise and within 10 minutes on the boat we were already landing fish. We had an an awesome day on the lake catching several different species of fish and taking home some good keepers. For the entire 4 hours of fishing we were getting action which is always what you want! The priceless moment though was watching my son catch his first fish - a catfish! Highly recommend booking with Captain Justin and we look forward to getting another outing on the books as well!

Great experience.  Caught almost 30 fish with a 1/2 day trip for 4 of us.  He kept two 15 year old’s entertained and wanting to go back again.  He’s very knowledgeable and friendly.  He takes care of everything so you can just show up and fish.  The whole experience was easy, fun, and relaxing.  We’ll definitely go back when in the area again.

My husband and I had such a blast with Justin. Definitely go in the morning hours for a more peaceful lake experience. The fish were biting and we each caught ~6 fish! Justin was nice enough to skin them for us so we could take them home to cook. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a private fishing trip :)
