Stickin’ It Out Charters welcomes you aboard for an unforgettable fishing adventure in the beautiful Gulf of Maine. Captain Matt Roy offers exciting half day and full day trips to the inshore and offshore waters where a wide variety of fish awaits your bait.
Captain Matt operates a 35’ Harold Gower classic Downeast-style Lobster boat with plenty of room to move around. Powered by a 210 HP Cummins Diesel engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 11 knots, the vessel is safe, comfortable, and seaworthy. It features a GPS and fishfinder used to locate the schooling fish and a flybridge for sight fishing.
The vessel is equipped with a livewell that holds live bait, an icebox that keeps the catch fresh, spearfishing equipment if you want to try a different approach to fishing, and all the safety equipment you can think of. There is a porta potty on board for your convenience, which is a huge plus on the full day trips.
Stickin’ It Out Charters targets a variety of fish found in the Gulf of Maine. On the half day trips, you will fish inshore for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Mackerel, Pollock, and other local species. On the full day trips, you can stay inshore or head offshore where big fish can be found.
Offshore targeted species may include groundfish such as Cod, Haddock, Pollock, Cusk, or Redfish. Alternatively, Tuna and Sharks like Mako, Thresher, Blue, and Porbeagle are all possible catches. Since every offshore species requires a certain and unique fishing technique, you will target one species per trip. If you want to target more, book Captain Marr for more days.
Stickin’ It Out Charters carries Penn International rods and reels, and a variety of tackle and lures. Live bait is caught on the trip to ensure freshness. They offer fish processing at the end of the trip, so bring a cooler for your catch. Also, please make sure you have a valid fishing license. Stickin’ It Out Charters operates 7 days a week during the Summer.
