Pukka Travels offers a variety of fishing trips on waters that are home to numerous Arctic fjords. The town of Tromsø lies is Northern Norway and boasts great fishing year-round. If you’re looking to put those rods and reels to work, while enjoying the striking beauty of Arctic scenery, hop aboard!
The crew at Pukka Travels will greet you aboard their 44’ Lagoon 440 catamaran, restored in 2017. She is powered by twin 55 HP Volvo Penta engines, allowing you to smoothly cruise around the area. She can accommodate up to 12 anglers on both shared and private trips.
The boat is rigged with GPS, Fishfinder, an ice box, flybridge, and has all the standard safety equipment. There’s kitchen on board, as well as a toilet, multimedia system, and beds for up to 6 anglers.
Your targets are Cod, Halibut, and Pollock, but you’ll see many other species as well. You can indulge in jigging, popping, bottom fishing, and drift fishing. The secret of these fisheries is that they benefit from the warm currents of the Gulf Stream.
The captain will provide you with rods, reels, and tackle, and lures. Fishing with live bait is illegal in Norway, so you will be supplied with fresh bait instead. The crew also takes care of the fishing license.
If you wish to keep your catch, feel free to do so, or you can also choose to release it. Pukka Travels is a great option for friends and families. Children under 3 years of age can come aboard free of charge, while youngsters aged 4–11 pay only half the price.
Novice fishermen, or seasoned anglers, you’re welcome to join and experience these unusual waters. Enjoy fishing beneath the Northern Lights with Pukka Travels!
