Crusoe Fishing - Reel Capture 34'
Crusoe Fishing offers game fishing packages around the islands of Vanuatu. These waters are home to massive game fish. Here anglers can find Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin, as well as a variety of Tuna. The Crusoe Fishing fleet has two boats, so if you can’t find a spot here, just scroll down and click on the captain’s name. There you will find available dates on the other boat.
Reel Capture is a 34’ Kevlacat catamaran and is normally skippered by Captain Richard Moruk. Captain Richard has been fishing the local waters for over a decade. He started fishing with Capt. Charles on Nevagivup and has worked his way up from the deck to Captain.
Captain Michelle Wheeler also skippers Reel Capture, and she knows these waters really well. She has plenty of accolades to her name, including Sir Garrick Agnew Award for the most Billfish tagged & released in Australian waters.
The boat itself has two 300 HP Yanmar Diesel engines, with a maximum cruising speed of 22 knots. The boat can accommodate up to six anglers. She is rigged with Raymarine and Furuno electronics, has a flybridge, live bait well, tuna tubes, an ice box, outriggers. Anglers will find a wide range of Shimano tackle, and will have the fishing gear at their disposal. You won’t need a fishing permit.
The crew will cater to your wishes, and you can go trolling, jigging or popping. The real treat is Billfish light tackle, and these waters are a great chance to land your dream catch.
On shorter trips, you will have soft drinks and snacks. The crew will serve lunch on full day trips. Pack sunblock, sunglasses, and a cap. Wear comfortable clothes and footwear, as you will want to be able to move around. Bring a camera, and try to set a new record!
