Archipelago Fishing runs fishing trips out of Trosa and Stockholm. These waters are home to Sweden’s finest fish, including Salmon, Perch, Northern Pike, Zander, and Cod. Whether you’re a novice fisherman, a kid, or an experienced angler, you will have a nice time out on the water.
Your guide for the day is Capt. Fredrik Bäck. He’s native to the area, and has been fishing here since his childhood. He’s won gold and two silver medals at the Nordic and Swedish Championship in Pike fishing. He likes taking people out on the water, and teaching them about fishing techniques, and nature.
You will be joining him on his 23’ Buster Magnum Pro Series aluminum fishing boat. She is powered by a 225 HP Yamaha fourstroke engine, and can reach the speeds of up to 51 knots. She can take up to six people. The boat is rigged with GPS, a fishfinder, outriggers, and a wireless trolling motor. It stores life jackets, and survival suits in case of bad weather. There’s also a live bait well, and an ice box onboard.
Depending on the season, you can hope to catch some really big fish. There are Northern Pike, Zander, Salmon and Perch, and you can employ a variety of techniques to get them. Light or heavy tackle, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, or fly fishing - you name it!
Once onboard, anglers will find rods, reels, and tackle, lures, and live bait. The captain will serve drinks and food, and will take care of the fishing license. You will want to pack a camera, medication if prone to seasickness, an extra layer of clothes, and sunglasses. Wear comfortable footwear, and warm clothing. When you’re ready, come onboard, and have a blast of a day!
