Captain Cooper Hedgecock has over 20 years experience fishing and guiding from Alaska to Oregon making him an expert in his field. Cooper can take you fishing on a number of rivers in the Oregon area where some of the world’s most desirable freshwater species can be found.
Fishing in Oregon is excellent for Salmon, Steelhead, Smallmouth Bass, and Surgeon among other species. This is exactly what you will target on your adventure with Captain Cooper. Oregon’s river systems such as Coos, Coquille, Umpqua, Elk, and Sixes River have so much to offer and you’ll definitely enjoy learning new techniques and trivia about this region.
Captain Cooper enjoys sharing his knowledge and teaching a variety of fishing techniques on a full day trip. His boat is a 24’ Umpqua Mar Aluminum fishing originally built in 2016 with a capacity for five guests. Powered by a 200 HP Evinrude engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots, the boat gets you to the productive areas very fast.
The vessel is specifically built for drift fishing on the river and is equipped with a GPS and fishfinder to locate the best fishing spots. It also features an icebox for the catch and life jackets for safety.
Indigenous Adventures Guide Service provides all fishing gear including conventional rod and reel, as well as fly fishing equipment. You will have a selection of tackle and lures, drinks, and a fish processing service at the end of the trip. Captain Cooper welcomes all anglers to enjoy a day on the river with him.
