Bruno is a professional and, more important, very passionate, angler. He fishes nearly everyday and everywhere in the world! It was an amazing day starting at sunrise. We started with catching some baitfish (needle fish) which already was fun to do. With his powerful boat we went to a hot spot for Mahi Mahi. Within 5’, the reel was shrieking with a good size fish! We caught in total 5 mahi mahi of which we landed 3 in just 2 hours! The next spot we tried to catch squid, which was more difficult. It was not yet the season for squid. Thanks to his relations on the sea, we got a few from a friend nearby. We tried for grouper and indeed got a massive bite within short! Unfortunately and due to inexperience with this type of fishing, I did not hook the fish properly and after a few massive runs, the line broke. Bitten by the teeth of the fish! I had an amazing day and experienced what a skilled guide in his home waters can do for you! If you want to catch good fish in sicily, go to Bruno!

I had a great morning fishing with Capt. Bruno. He has a solid boat and knows the local waters and fish movement patterns. He is respectful of the fish and nature, something I always appreciate. We tried for Grouper earlier in the trip but did not get any bites so switched bottom fishing. Catching Bream and Snapper on light line at depths of 60 meters is a lot of fun! We finished the morning trying for John Dorey and had a big one on but it broke a new hook! Ma che succede? Fishing with Capt. Bruno is like fishing with a friend. I enjoyed trading funny fishing stories with him! After the trip, he dropped off some of the fish I caught at Ristorante La Cambusa and had that for dinner tonight. It was superb!

I highly recommend him and the next time I return to Castellammare del Golfo, I’ll be sure to book another trip.

Second half day trip. Once again hooked and lost a very heavy fish after spending time trying to get squid baits. The fish managed to snag us in the bottom and despite Bruno’s best efforts the line eventually parted. Bruno unfazed by this and set up for light line Bonito fishing. After countless fish hooked and returned found myself with an aching arm and a happy smile. Bruno is a genuine guy and a hard worker. Do yourself a favor and book his boat

We had a great time fishing with Captain Bruno. We tried for grouper and snapper but they were not cooperative so Captain Bruno switched my son to light tackle and he caught 9-10 fish. The current and fish didn’t cooperate but it wasn’t for lack of trying on Captain Bruno’s part… he moved us to many different sites and tried a number of rigs for different types of fish for us. We had an amazing trip regardless - weather was cool but nice and we all enjoyed it. Captain Bruno even supplied us jackets when he learned our luggage had been delayed and we had nothing with us! Next time we will try during the proper fishing season and would definitely book with Captain Bruno again. 😊

Contacted Bruno through the app and Whatsapp for the first of my two half day trips. Bruno speaks excellent English but is very modest about it. Despite having badly strained stomach muscles he went ahead with the trip whilst in pain. He also picked me up as I have an arthritic knee and was struggling myself. He worked hard to find fish and eventually I hooked a big Grouper which after a short fight bit through the line. We eventually hooked into several Dorado on the surface which were great fun! I definitely recommend Bruno and his boat. He can put you in the right place. The rest is up to you and the fishing gods
