Crabby's Fishing Charters
Crabby’s Fishing Charters is based in between the Comox Valley and Campbell River. This gives you access to the best fishing grounds in both locations, so you can spend less time traveling and more time reeling in a catch to remember! Join Captain Chris Steinbach aboard one of the finest boats in the area, and enjoy the fantastic fishing of British Columbia’s spring and summer seasons.
You will fish aboard a 28’ Osprey originally built in 1997 and restored in 2017. Powered by twin 200 HP Evinrude engines, this vessel boasts a maximum cruising speed of 32 knots. On board you will find a fully private, flushing toilet and an enclosed cabin to shelter you from the elements. This boat has a deck that is twice the size of most boats in the area, giving you and your group plenty of room to cast lines comfortably.
While fishing from April through September, you will have a chance to catch a variety of species, many of them excellent for eating. You can find especially large Chinook Salmon in these waters, with some specimens reaching over 30 lbs. You will also have a chance to fish for Rockfish, Halibut, Prawns, and Crabs.
Capt. Chris will help you target your catch using the most effective method, whether it’s trolling for Salmon, dropping traps for Prawns, or bottom fishing for Rockfish and Halibut. While casting lines you can enjoy spectacular views of mountains and waterfalls, and you may even spot a few whales, dolphins, or bears.
You will find that Crabby’s Fishing Charters provides quality gear and top notch service. You may keep your catch and Capt. Chris will clean and fillet it for you. Packing guests’ fish on commercial grade ice and supplying top of the line fishing gear are the little extras that set Crabby’s apart! Just be sure to bring a Canadian fishing license.
Book your trip today and come experience coastal fishing in British Columbia at its finest!
