Arctic Cruise In Norway has a lot to offer to fishing enthusiasts exploring the majestic waterscape of Northern Norway. If you happen to visit Tromso, fishing for Pollock, Cod, and Halibut is a thing to put on your to-do list. This charter business boasts some of the finest boats in the area, and if you want a comfortable day on the water with your pack, this is an awesome opportunity.
Arctic Cruise’s fleet is truly royal. Princess Emi is a comfortable cabin cruiser made by Jeanneau. She is powered by a 260 HP Volvo Penta engine, and, simply put, rigged to easily navigate around these fisheries and allow you safe fishing. The boat is equipped with a range of navigational electronics, has a wide walkway, a big lounge in the cockpit, big sundeck front, a closed center cabin, stereo, toilet, salon, stove, refrigerator, freshwater, kitchen utensils, and much more. It stores life jackets, has 4 sets of fishing rods and other fishing paraphernalia you might need. There is an extra railing at the platform for secure fishing, or if you want to feed the birds and take photos of the lush wildlife.
When packing for the trip, it’s important not to overpack. Make sure to bring light footwear that doesn’t leave black marks, pack warm clothes, a hat, scarf, mittens and a sweater. Take medication if prone to seasickness. Please note that smoking is not allowed onboard. There will be some warm coffee and tea served, and you will also get a freshly cooked lunch from the fish you catch. Children are welcome onboard and will surely enjoy trying the fishing moves to get their first catch.
On an average day, the weather is calm. You will set out and sail around the fjords and islands to get to the fish. Bottom fishing is the primary method, and as you wait for the fish to strike, you can enjoy the sight, and maybe a whale or two swim by. It’s fun and only requires that you bring a camera along to make some nice memories.
