The places i was taken were very nice secluded and personal! I had never been on this type of trip before and didn’t know what to expect! I expected to see loads of people fishing and that was not the case i seen one other boat fishing and it was another guest with the same company. I caught a snook of about 2 lb and a tarpon of about similar size! I have a few other chances but with no joy it was great fun just a pitty 4 hours goes super fast! Im booked in for another day before a go back home and i cant wait! One thing i will say is if you are not an average to good fly caster i would try spinning as the casting has to be fairly accurate or you will be caught in the mangroves which i did a few times🤦🏻♂️ i feel the main targets are snook and tarpon. I did want to mainly target bonefish but i do t think their are many in the area

My son and I had a great time on this trip and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some backwater fishing. The entire experience was top notch from start to finish. The booking process was simple and the boat/equipment was in great shape and ready to go right at 6AM. Captain Mauricio worked hard and did a great job putting us on fish all day. He was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and was excellent on giving us advice to help us have a successful day fishing. Overall, this was one of the best charters we have ever done and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for backwater fishing.

Captain Noel was extremely kind and friendly starting from the greet! The boat was very clean and the tackle was in very good working condition. We started our trip at 0600 and ended at 1000. Capt Noel knew just what to do and where to go. From the first spot to the last we were on the fish!! It started with SNOOK and Jumping a TARPON!! That was epic in itself ( to also include loosing a BIG JACK ) we left the SNOOK biting as my wife and I had our fill plus we encouraged the Capt to follow his instincts. He then immediately put us on the BONE FISH!! it didn’t take long at all before we landed a few of those and I was extremely impressed with how HARD those guys can fight!!

But most importantly the VIBE on the boat was very GOOD. I can tell the captain truly had a LOVE for fishing and I can respect that. He was just as excited to see us catch fish as we were to catch them. He was very tentative to our needs re-tying leaders and always had rods for us at the ready when needed.He also did a great job taking pictures of us fishing and holding fish. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trip to whomever is interested in fishing Cancun and making some great memories next to great company.

We were hunting tarpon in open water and also in flats with additional bonefish. ( there also other species around, jacks, cuda, snook).

Even if it was a tough fishing it was really good day.
We saw a bunch of tarpon hunting in top water.
The flat are just fantastic, a really beautiful spot with schools of bone even tarpon.

Sight fishing, it was just amazing.

The cap has a huge knowledge of the area. Guaranteed that he knows quite well the area and allow you to have big change to encounter fish.

We didn’t catch fish, but it was one of those that fish were following flies, for a long time and at the end sniffing fly. Part of the game.

Overall amazing experience, we had to possibile to give an interesting amounts of shot, which is not always so.

Truly recommended! (Especially flat fishing, just a fantastic location)

My wife and I fished with Mauricio on Saturday, July 22nd. This was my second year in a row fishing with these guys. I initially wanted to cast lures but after about the first 30 minutes without any action, our guide suggested using live bait. He used a cast net to quickly get bait. We basically cast the baitfish towards rising tarpon. We caught several lady fish, then two tarpon. For the last hour, we moved locations and used the same technique to catch two nice snook. Great trip, excellent guides, nice equipment. I totally recommend this trip.
