Topwater Guide Service is a freshwater fishing charter that provides fishing trips in Maine during the entire year. Captain Dana Connon is a native Mainer and will be happy to show you everything that the local rivers and lakes have to offer.
You will be fishing aboard an 18’ Stratos bass boat that’s powered by a 150 HP Johnson engine, making it capable of developing a maximum cruising speed of an impressive 48 knots. The boat has enough space for two prospective anglers to be fishing in comfort and is equipped with all the necessary safety and navigation gear necessary for a proper trip.
Captain Dana specializes in Bass and Pike fishing but will be happy to seek out game fish if that’s your thing. A standard trip involves fishing for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike on light tackle. Winter months provide an opportunity to go ice fishing, which can be very interesting if you’ve never tried it before.
The price of a trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, as well as drinks, snacks, and even lunch on full day trips. You will need to bring a valid Main fishing license, which can also be found online. Other than that, bring a pair of sunglasses, a camera, and you’re all set for an adventure in Maine’s rich waters.
