The Maverick is a 38’ Topaz powered by twin 435 HP Volvo engines. This vessel comes equipped with a flybridge, outriggers, and a fighting chair. Capt. Jack provides custom made fishing gear and a wealth of experience to make sure you target your catch using the most effective method. There is room on board for six passengers. An onboard toilet caters to your comfort.
While casting lines off the coast of Rhode Island, you can enjoy some of the best fishing on the East Coast. Capt. Jack’s full day trip is a favorite among customers and gives you a chance to bring home something delicious. This trip takes you 13 miles out to the southwest ledge of Block Island, where you can target Striper, Fluke, Black Seabass, and Bluefish using a variety of techniques.
On the other hand, the seasoned angler will find ample opportunity while fishing offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Shark, Cod, or Marlin. Capt. Jack’s Shark and School Tuna trip gives you a chance to indulge in some of Rhode Island’s finest deep sea fishing during summer.
Maverick Charters include bait and all the gear you need. Depending on the species, you may keep your catch and the crew will clean it for you. A tip of 15-20% for the First Mate is customary.
Customers do not need to bring a fishing license. Children of all ages are welcome, depending on their comfort level aboard a boat. Please bear in mind that full day trips may not be suitable for small children.
