Roger Raines has been running trips on Lake Texoma for over 25 years, and founded his own guide service to share his love and knowledge of these waters with as many people as possible. A trip with Captain Roger is about more than just catching fish. He will show you a whole new side to the lake while passing on all the tricks he has learned over the course of his long career.
Captain Roger’s 27’ Charger center console is perfect for navigating these calm waters in search of trophy Stripers. He catches fresh live bait ahead of every trip to make your hooks irresistible fish magnets. Captain Roger uses a mix of tackle which he finds works best, from Abu Garcia, Quantum, Eagle Claw, and more. Every part of his operation is refined to bring in the best catch.
You will be drifting and casting live bait to lure in huge Linesiders, which are as enjoyable to catch as they are to eat. Morning trips start at daybreak, heading out early to target trophy fish when the bite is at its best. Afternoon charters are still highly productive, though - there’s never a bad time to fish on Lake Texoma!
You are encouraged to release whatever you don’t think you will eat, but Captain Roger is more than happy to clean and fillet everything you do want to keep. You can currently keep a maximum of 10 fish per person, so you’d better bring a big cooler if you want to get it all home!
Captain is available for PM trips on inquiry only. Feel free to contact him via Message Captain button on this listing to check.
