Skull Fishing offers fishing charters around the atolls of the Maldives. Their trips run year round and take you fishing from 30 meters deep waters inshore to up to 50 miles out. You can be a family with kids, a novice angler who wants to try popping for GTs, or a hardcore fisherman who wants to land big game - Skull Fishing can accommodate to all of your needs.
Families either choose a half day trip or stay around the reefs. These waters are 10 meters deep and you can try traditional line fishing, or dive and go for some snorkeling around the azure waters. Seasoned anglers will either go fishing inshore, targeting Barracuda, Emperor, Grouper, and Snapper. Adrenaline lovers will head offshore to target Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi, Sailfish, and Marlin. These fisheries start at 20 miles off the coast and it’s best you go on a full day trip.
The crew is experienced in fishing the local waters and they will help you have a day to talk about for ages. All the gear is provided onboard, as are snacks and soft drinks. On full day trips, you’ll also get a lunch.
You will be fishing from a 25’ center console that can reach the speeds of up to 33 knots. She is fast and the twin Mercury 115 HP engine has the speed and stamina to take you to the desired fisheries. The boat can take up to ten people, though best fishing happens with six anglers onboard. Also, the price of the trip may vary if more than six passengers are onboard.
The boat stores Shimano and Penn tackle, rods, and lures. Live bait may be provided, depending on the season and the target species. There is a private toilet onboard, along with a live well, an ice box, and a multimedia system. And, if you feel like snorkeling, the equipment is onboard. When you pack for the trip, you should bring a sun block, a cap, comfortable clothes and footwear.
