Scannin Shallow Guide Service specializes in light tackle and fly fishing charters in the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park. Captain Jerry Perez has been fishing since his childhood and is well versed in a variety of techniques. No matter your level of experience, he’s ready to put you on some of the most exciting fish on the flats of South Florida!
Step aboard a 17’ Hell’s Bay skiff powered by a 70 HP Yamaha engine. This craft was built for navigating skinny water, giving you access to some of the most secluded fishing grounds. On board you will find top of the line equipment, including Penn spinning rods and fly fishing gear by Nautilus and G. Loomis.
You can join Capt. Jerry in the summer when all of Florida’s most iconic fish are biting. These flats and backwaters are home to Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, Snook, Redfish, and much more.
Fly fishing for giant Tarpon is Capt. Jerry’s passion, and he’s ready to teach this art to anglers of any skill level. You can join him in the Keys or the Everglades for a chance to hone this technique step-by-step and land your first Tarpon on fly!
If spinning is more your speed, Capt. Jerry can also help you sight fish the flats. This method makes for a spectacular show, whether casting live shrimp to tailing Bonefish or casting crabs at cruising Permit.
Scannin Shallow Guide Service provides a fishing license and all the gear you need. Capt. Jerry is mobile and can take you fishing anywhere in the Florida Keys and Islamorada. He will call you ahead of time to discuss where you would like to meet, or to fill you in on where the bite is best.
Please note that some species are strictly catch and release. If you would like to take home any fish that are legal to keep, Capt. Jerry will gladly clean and fillet them for you.
Book your next trip and come land the fish of a lifetime on the flats of South Florida!
