Capt. Andy’s Guide Service offers inshore and nearshore fishing trips in and around Beaufort, North Carolina. Captain Andy Bates knows that every day on the water is a blessing, and he works hard to provide his customers with the best experience. He will see to it that you land a great catch while learning, laughing, and making memories on the way. Come aboard for a trip to remember!
Capt. Andy operates a 22’ Pathfinder powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. With a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots, this vessel packs enough power to get you to the fishing grounds in no time. On board you will find top of the line tackle by TFO, Penn, Daiwa, Florida Fishing Products, and Redington.
The inshore and nearshore waters surrounding Morehead City host a variety of game fish throughout the seasons. While fishing inshore anywhere from New Bern to Cape Lookout Shoals you can have a blast targeting Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Striped Bass, and Flounder on light tackle and fly.
Casting lines in nearshore waters opens entirely new possibilities. False Albacore in the fall make for some drag screaming action that anglers of any skill level can enjoy, from the seasoned pro to the young bucks. Or try your hand at the local “run and gun” style of fishing for Spanish Mackerel, chopper Bluefish, and Red Drum along the coast.
If there’s a certain species you’re after, tell Capt. Andy ahead of time and he will suggest the best time to go fishing. Or tell him when you plan to be in town and he can let you know what the fishing will be like. The fishing changes every year, but he will do everything he can to help you land the trophy you’re after.
Capt. Andy’s Guide Service provides spinning and fly fishing equipment. The boat can take up to three passengers and children are welcome. Anglers age 16 and older must bring a Coastal Recreational Fishing License (CRFL).
