Day started slow but the crew got us on some major fish in the early afternoon. Crew was very friendly and professional. These guys rock highly recommend they know the area and where to find the fish . I was aiming for a sailfish. Ended up catching 1 sailfish 1 white marlin , 2 Mahi-Mahi, 4 baracuda , and lost at least 5 more.

When they picked us up was not to sure due to the lack on English but the crew members did speed some English. Again Awsome experience would do it all over again!!! Did get sea sick in the AM some big waves out there but ones the breakfast was out all was good .

After several days of researching diffrent companies, captains, and vessels I decided to book a 7 hour fishing excursion for my wife and I with Fishing Heavy. Captain Ramon was very prompt when emailing me about the details of the trip and with the transportation for both to and from our resort and he assured me that he would get us on the fish and boy he did! Between my wife and I we ended up catching a total of 13 fish, we caught 11 good sized Mahi Mahi and 2 smaller Wahoo. It was very apparent that the crew was experenienced and knew what they were doing as we had 3 Mahi Mahi hooked all at one time and we managed to get all 3 landed without having any line tangling between the four fishing lines and the two teaser lines we had out!

My wife ended up experiencing some very minor motion sickness due to the small morning swells (this was her first time charter fishing) and both first mate Wilson and the other deckhand were very accommodating to her, they did everything that they possibly could do to make her feel better and it was greatly appreciated!!!

It was a very plesant experience and I would highly recommend booking with Fishing Heavy and ask to go out with Wilson, they are priced very good for the amenities and service you receive, we were set up with 4 rods (2 off of the stern, 1 off of the port side and 1 off of the starboard side) and we had 2 teaser lines running as well, we had a fighting chair as well as a belt. Beverages both alcoholic and non alcoholic were provided as well as sandwiches and some snacks.

I will definitely book with captain Ramon again next time I’m in Punta Cana!

On a side note if you knew some Spanish it would help you out with the crew as their English is rather limited, but it is not nessacary and I wouldn’t let that scare you off as they very great group of guys and that go the extra mile to make sure your happy and having a good time!

This was an unforgettable trip, we love it captain Ramon and his staff are very professional, friendly and they know exactly what they’re doing. They made us feel comfortable and safe while the trip, they have a variety of snacks, Sandwiches,drinks no alcoholic and alcoholic. We had a great time fishing we catch 13 fishes as great, mahi mahi and 1 blue it was the best experience we ever had thank you all of you and we definitely come back next year!!

recommend this excursion to all those who are passionate sea, adventure and fishing. the day 17 March my husband and I went fishing. my experience: the service is excellent. we could see whales and Dolphins. pescamos 16 mahi mahi. we had a lunch divine with shrimp and prawns. hear very good music. climate excellent. good drink beer, wine .... attention very good. Super well everything. I think relive this beautiful experience.

My to sons and I had an excellent and successful trip with captain Joseluis and his crew. They worked very hard to help us catch fish. We caught 4 beautiful fish on our half day morning trip. I definitely would recommend them. We caught fish when other boats didn’t.
