Trip Summary

Dec 28th and 29th were tough days to be on the water. We had a cold front that dropped water temps from 70 degrees down to 47 degrees F. This shocked the fish and turned them off. This, combined with strong winds made the fishing hard. We ended up with one big red in the shallows and found a lot of reds in the deeper water. We ended up catching probably close to 30 Redfish over the two days between 2 people fishing. Most of our fish came from about 12 feet of water depth and all were caught on artificial lures. We threw shrimp with no success. Fishing should pick up after the current cold front blows through. Starting Jan 6th and 7th, the weather should warm back up and so will the fishing.
