Codfather Charters
Everyone who has the itch to fish should give Codfather Charters a try. Join him for a fun day on the water out of Freeport NY on the south shore of Long Island.
Break your cabin fever and hop onboard the ‘Codfather’, a 32’ custom-built fishing machine. She is a spacious vessel with a single 350 HP Yanmar Diesel engine and plenty of room for up to 6 anglers.
The Codfather was built back in 1986 and overhauled in 2017. She is rigged with 3 modern GPS units, a fishfinder, a radar, and a couple of VHF radios, along with all the necessary safety equipment. The Codfather has a toilet onboard, as well as a livewell and an ice-box for the catch. All aboard!
Go for winter Tautog (Blackfish) and early Flounder. Head out for the likes of Mackerel and Striped Bass, chase Fluke north and go for Weakfish, Sharks, Porgy, and Black Seabass to name a few. Bottom fish over wrecks and reefs. The opportunities abound!
From heart-pumping top-water action battling Stripers and Blues over a flock of birds to a mixed bag of Porgies, Blackfish, and Seabass, there is a trip for you. Explore the inlets, bays, channels, and the mighty ocean in comfort and style.
All trips come with the use of quality gear, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing license. All fish caught will be cleaned by the first mate, who works for tips. The customary tip amount is 20% of the total trip price.
There is a $100 dollar surcharge due to the increase in fuel prices.
