Inland Fishing Charters - JBs
Inland Fishing Charters invites you to step onboard and explore the rich waterways of the Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River. Here you will find the inshore’s nicest species, that are not only incredibly tasty, but also fight fiercely.
The captain has extensive experience in putting his customers on a fish of a lifetime. His trips run year-round are suitable for novice anglers. The captain will also teach you about fishing. Kids are most welcome to come onboard and the captain will supply the vests.
You will be fishing from a 20’ Xtreme20 flats boat built in 2011. The boat is powered by a 140 HP Suzuki engine and can easily maneuver around the inshore waterways. She is fitted with GPS and a fishfinder, has a casting platform that is perfect for sight fishing, a trolling motor and all the fishing gear. There is some bottled water onboard and the captain will also provide ice for your fish. The boat can take up to six people, but if you have a larger party, the captain may accommodate you as well.
The fishing around the Mosquito and Indian River lagoons take place in shallow waters, some 3 foot deep, so no need to worry much about sea sickness. Of course, if you feel you might get affected, it’s best to take some meds before the trip.
These fisheries are abundant in nice sport fish. You can get some impressive Redfish, as well as Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Tarpon, but also Flounder, Ladyfish, and Mangrove Snapper. Snook and Tarpon bite the best during spring, summer and into the fall, while Reds and Trout can be readily caught any day of the year. The trips mostly include jigs and topwater bait.
You should bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The captain will supply live bait before the trip. Please note that kids under six need to have vests on all the time. And it would be good to bring a cooler along so you can return your freshly caught fish back home. Invite your friends and come along!
