Native Adventures is a full-service charter company running trips around the Mississippi River Delta targeting the huge range of species which call this unique environment home. Run by a father-and-son team of Louisiana fishermen, Native Adventures promises to take you to the very best fishing spots and fill the boat with a ton of tasty fish.
You will be spending the day aboard a 26’ Avenger bay boat with room aboard for up to 5 guests. Newly-built in 2016, the vessel cruises at a staggering 60 knots to get you to the most remote fishing spots where the biggest fish lurk. Captain Allen operates a fleet of these vessels and is easily able to accommodate large groups.
The boat is equipped with a silent trolling motor to stalk the skinny waters without spooking the fish and has GPS and fishfinder for sounding out the deeper waters where sight fishing isn’t an option. Once you find your fish, you will be given quality fishing tackle and a choice of live bait and lures to tempt them in. There is a livewell onboard to keep all your bait fresh for the trip.
The main targets on your trip will be Redfish, Trout, and Flounder. These are some of the tastiest fish around and can put up a great fight, too. You will also be able to target Black Drum, Sheepshead, and even head out further in search of Red Snapper when the season is right.
For something a little different, head out to explore the area on a relaxing eco tour. These trips are the best way to learn about the surrounding waters. They are perfect for nature lovers or boat owners looking for pointers on the hazards and top spots in this ever-changing waterscape.
All these trips are run by experienced, local captains who have spent decades fishing and guiding here. They take pride in their work and do everything possible to send you home with a ton of awesome fish, which they will clean and vacuum seal free of charge to keep it tasting as fresh as the moment it left the water.
