Your vessel for the day is a 20’ Xtreme20 flats boat. She was built in 2011 and can take up to six people. She runs on a 140 HP Suzuki engine and give you speed and flexibility when looking around nooks and crannies of these rich fisheries. The boat features a fishfinder, GPS, a casting platform, a wireless trolling motor to get close to the fish. Onboard, you will find the fishing gear, some bottles of water, as well as ice for your fish. The captain can also accommodate bigger groups.
Your trip will start early in the morning to use your day well and get back with bags full of fish. Throughout the year you can fish for Redfish and Spotted Seatrout. Summer months are best for Snook and Tarpon, and you might even get some Ladyfish and Mangrove Snapper.
You will be fishing in skinny waters, using primarily jigs and topwater bait. As there are no choppy seas here, kids can come along and enjoy the chase. The captain will supply vests for them and if they are under six, they must have the vests on all the time.
When you’re packing for the trip, bring food and drinks. You should also bring sun-protection, sunglasses, a hat, and a camera. The captain will supply live bait before the trip. You are also advised to bring a cooler along so you can return your catch back home and have a nice dinner afterwards. Book your spot and join the chase!
