Trip Summary

This full day charter was for a return client and his new bride on their honeymoon. The goal was for his wife to land a blue marlin. The charter started with a run out to the long liners to land some dorado for dinner. After the clients had enough for dinner, the focus shifted to billfish. Around 3pm, the clients were getting disheartened, as no billfish had been seen that day. "All I want is for her to catch a marlin. That's all I wanted." Then, at 3:50pm, we hooked a blue marlin. About 45 minutes later, with a little help from her husband, she landed a 400lb blue marlin, which was released. The clients returned two days later to catch trophy roosterfish, which they did.
