Mystic Amara Fishing Charters
Mystic Amara Fishing Charters is based in Jolly Harbour, Antigua, and runs bottom fishing and deep sea fishing charters during the entire year. Captain Leroy has more than 20 years more than years of experience under his belt and can show you the best spots for a range of fish that can be found in this part of the Caribbean.
You will be fishing aboard the Mystic Amara III which is a 31’ Bertram offshore sport fishing boat, powered by two 200 HP Volvo engines. Apart from all the necessary safety and navigation gear, the boat also has a cooler and a private head for those longer trips. There’s plenty of space on board for up to six people, and the captain provides bottled water, soda, and beer for your pleasure.
Depending on what you want to fish for, you can go up to around ten miles offshore. However, most trips involve going no more than four miles from the shore, which should comfortably put you on depths in the 100’ to 300’ range. Some of the fish you can catch during the entire year are Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and others, while Blue Marlin, and Kingfish are best targeted during the summer months.
The price includes all necessary rods, reels, and terminal tackle, as well as the required fishing licenses. Make sure to bring a pair of polarized sunglasses, as well as a camera to show off your catch, and also because the vistas are sure to take your breath away.
