Shadowcaster Flats Fishing welcomes you down to Key West and invites you out to a forgotten world of mangrove islands, winding backcountry, and white sandy flats. This is the Florida Keys like they were a hundred years ago, full of a staggering variety of amazing inshore species. Get ready to target each and every one!
You will be spending your trip aboard the latest addition to the Shadowcaster fleet – a 22’ Pathfinder bay boat built in 2013. The vessel can cruise at 40 knots to get you to the best fishing spots and can carry up to four guests out in search of great fish.
The vessel is equipped with GPS and fishfinder to sound out the best spots and has plenty of stable deck space for sight-casting on the flats. Her stealthy trolling motor lets you navigate the skinny waters and narrow channels without making a sound, sneaking up on even the spookiest fish out there.
You will be given quality light tackle to bring in this who’s who of shallow-water species: Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, Trout, Jacks – you name it, it’s here! You will have the choice of live bait fresh from the tank or a range of lifelike lures, meaning no fish will be able to resist your hooks.
Shadowcaster Flats Fishing invites anglers of any age or experience level aboard and Captain John will work with you to build the perfect trip for you and your party. So whether you want a morning of fun with the family or a full day of pure sportfishing with your old fishing buddies, you will get an experience tailored to your goals and priorities.
All trips come with tackle, bait, lures, and licenses. At the end of your trip, Captain John will clean and fillet all your fish for you, so remember to bring your cooler! Other than that, some sunscreen, and maybe some snacks and drinks, the boat is loaded with everything you’ll need. Jump aboard and start catching fish!
