Blue Sea Charters connect anglers with the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand. The local waters are a favorite fishing destination for both tourists and locals alike.
You will be fishing with Captain Rick Mancer Rick will greet you with a warm welcome aboard ’Splash.’ She is a 36’ commercial boat which was built back in 1977. She comes powered by a 385 HP Yanmar engine and can comfortably take up to 10 passengers.Cruising at 15 knots ‘Splash’ gets you to the fishing grounds fast!
Splash is rigged with a GPS, Colour fishfinder, and other professional accessories. She features a large cockpit, which is ideal for those keen fishing enthusiasts. There is a toilet on board – a much-needed thing when spending your day on board. Splash is also a record holder boat of various tournaments.
Blue Sea Charters’ experienced captain will assist you throughout the adventure. We bait your hooks, take the catch off your hook and fillet your catch when you’re done fishing.
Depending on the trip you decide to choose, you will be targeting Snapper, Hapuka, Kahawai, Trevally, Terakihi, and Yellowtail Kingfish.
All fishing trips come inclusive with Penn and Shimano rods and reels, as well as bait. You don’t have to purchase a fishing license for recreational saltwater fishing in New Zealand.
The trips aboard ‘Splash’ depart from Paihia, Russell, or Waitangi.
