Nano Guerrero invites you to go fishing around the scenic flats of Ambergris Caye, Belize. This is a chance to experience the flats of the beautiful south and west coast of the cove with a local guide and 2017 winner of the Tres Pescados fly fishing tournament, Nano Guerrero.
You can enjoy a day in the flats and inshore lagoons scouting tailing fish and schools of feeding fish.
Captain Nano is great with experienced fishermen and the inexperienced as well, he will guide and assist throughout the day to ensure that you have a memorable fishing experience in Belize.
You will be fishing from a 23' Imemsa flats boat that can take up to two anglers. She is powered by a 60 HP Mercury four-stroke engine. She allows for intimate fishing around many nooks and crannies of these flats and lagoon waters. You're going to love the 'hide and seek' game with the fish.
As for the catch, you can get a variety of species, including Tarpon, Snook, Permit, Bonefish, Mutton Snapper, Ladyfish, and some Cobia. It's fast-paced action, with brutes biting throughout the year.
The rates include all fishing equipment, water, and ice to keep your beverages cool. You also have the option to bring your personal fishing gear. You are advised to bring your own sun protection gear (spray sunscreen is not allowed on board for your own safety as it makes the floor slippery). Please remember to purchase a fishing license. Pack foods and beverages. Smoking is not allowed.
The captain will supply Sage fly gear, as well as Redington rods, with Hatch and Lamson reels, as well as Penn spinning gear. Capt. Nano mostly uses 6-w rods, or in case of wind, 7 or 8s. He will prepare live bait, and tie the flies, which will be available to you for no additional cost. If you're chasing Tarpon, it's best to bring your own flies. Kids are welcome and life vests will be waiting for them onboard.

Nano was working incredibly hard all day and would not give up until I got a permit. Even despite my poor casting skills he would position the boat at the perfect balance between getting me in casting distance and not being to close and spooking them. Only because of him was I able to get two permit. He also got me into some bone fish. He did put me in front of a bunch of tarpon but it was my own fault that I didn't set the hook right on a few takes. Otherwise he would have given me a grand slam. He knew his stuff and his eye for seeing fish was remarkable. I thought I had a pretty good eye for fish but I could only see half of what he could. HIRE HIM
We did a full day and a half day fly fish trip with Nano. He is very experienced and knows the waters extremely well. Nano spent time teaching the correct technique and worked very hard to put us on fish. He can spot fish like a hawk! We got plenty of bone fish and an awesome Tarpon, thanks to Nano. He spotted a school of permit and worked extra hard to stay on them too. We had an awesome experience with Nano and highly recommend booking with him. He won't disappoint!
We spent two days with Nano fly fishing in the salt flats of Ambergris Caye. It's fantastically beautiful among the mangroves there, with lots of marine life to enjoy. Nano was an excellent teacher, and we learned a lot from him. He was kind and patient with us. Watching him cast was like poetry in motion, he made it look effortless! He clearly knows the area well, and maneuvered to numerous areas with good looks at bonefish. We had originally only booked one day of fishing, but enjoyed it so much, we scheduled a second day with Nano!

Captain Nano was great at locating fish and gave amazing instruction on fly placement and technique. Caught a couple of great bonefish. He was also able to transition us to snook and tarpon hunting and located fish quickly. Very friendly, you can tell he lives for this kind of fishing. Highly recommend this guide!
Nano worked his butt of in really tough conditions on our tarpon trip. High winds, murky water, and overcast skies made it tough to spot anything. He was still able to put me on some fish. Had my shot on a 50-60lb. fish ( which I messed up the hook set). Nano is a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working.
