Fish Anglers Edge takes you fishing around the rich waters of Lake Mead. Just a short ride away from the glamor of Las Vegas, here you will find solid Bass bite throughout the year and a seasoned captain to put you on fish.
Whether you’re a novice angler or a total pro, these fisheries will keep you at the edge of your seat - it’s fast-paced and incredibly exciting.
Capt. John has been a fisherman his whole life and has been fishing and guiding anglers on Lake Mead for the past 20 years. He will make sure you have a nice day on the water and will provide all the fishing gear you need.
Your vessel for the day is a 22’ Nitro bay boat that is powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine. The boat can take up to four anglers. Onboard, you will find an ice box, a trolling motor, safety gear, and a range of fishing equipment. The boat is equipped with GPS and a fishfinder and will give you the required speed to make the most out of your day on the water.
Lake Mead is rich in fish. Here you will find the nicest of Smallmouth, Largemouth, and Striped Bass. They are all hard-hitting and by many anglers’ standards the strongest fish pound-per-pound. This translates into a stunning fishing trip that excites both families with kids and experienced fishermen.
The captain uses both artificial lures and live bait, depending on what works the best at the time of your trip and availability. You will get lures and bait free of charge and Capt. John can also clean the fish for you. You should take care of the fishing license before the trip—they can be purchased at Walmart en route to the lake.
You will head out with the first light to sample the early morning bite. Bring a camera to make some nice photos of your trip and pack food, beverages, clothes for the weather, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Get your fishing buddies and come make some memories “where fishing’s not a matter of life or death. It’s much more important than that!”
