The captain Jody let us know he was injured and Darryl his other would be our Captain for the charter.

The fishing charter was simply AWESOME. With a quick two hour cruise we were pulling out halibut. Then came Pacific cod. Then the dreaded Arrow Tooth Flounder. Then onto more halibut. There was salmon shark lurking below. Through all of this excitement, Captain Darryl helped us all through it. He taught the less experienced anglers, and encouraged all of us. We caught all sorts of rock fish and only stopped because of a approaching storm. A storm in Prince William sound didn’t sound like the kind of excitement any of us wanted to experience. The colony of the sea lions barking, grunting and looking cool seemed to grow quieter the more the clouds got closer.

So we jetted back to Whittier and Captain Darryl was very skilled with his knives to fillet the halibut and Pacific cod. His secret method of filleting rock fish was very efficient and didn’t waste any fish.
We couldn’t have asked for a better fishing time, boat, company or Captain. Highly Recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun time halibut and rock fishing just a short drive from Anchorage.

First Captain Jody was able to get me on a trip with only ten days from booking to trip. He returned texts and had great communication on what to expect on the trip and where to meet him.
The trip was everything I had hoped. Great comradely with the crew and other fishermen. Nothing is garrenteed on a fishing trip but on this one we filled the boat with fish. I caught two keeper halibuts plus six or seven others, two silvers, and seven cod. The day was perfect so you could see the surrounding mountain of the sound with great views of the glaciers in the mountains.
Captain Jody and Captain Daryll looked after everyone’s needs and switched out gear, untangled lines, and hauled in fish with smiles on their faces. The boat is first class and fishes six people easily and could fish more. The head was clean as was the rest of the boat.
I would recommend this trip to anyone except those with small children. We fished water from 150 to 250 feet which many younger children (12 and under) would have problem bring a fish up. I had a great time and look forward to doing it again on my next trip to Alaska.

We loved captain Jody, his deckhand Darryl and the boat! We booked our trip and happened to experience a bad weather day that took us to unfamiliar fishing territory. Needless to say, we weren’t able to catch a lot of fish, as it was rainy, cold, and choppy water. We still had fun and were with great company the whole day! Captain stayed out extra long and tried to find us good fishing spots. The weather and harvest were just not in our favor. We will go back and look for the same adventure, with better result next time —because the crew was so inviting We feel like they made us a part of the Four Star Charters family with memories we will not soon forget!
