Gotta Fish Charters offers you the chance to enjoy some of the best fishing in the whole of Alaska. Fish the deep, clear waters around the Kenai Peninsula for monster Halibut and King Salmon worthy of the crown.
The Kenai Peninsula is widely-recognised as the best place to target Pacific Halibut on the planet, and Gotta Fish Charters guys have the boats, the gear, and the know-how to get you on the best and biggest out there!
You will be fishing aboard one of two 31’ North River fishing boats. This style of boat sees use across the state and has become an iconic sight during Alaska’s fleeting summer charter season. The vessels feature masses of fishing space, a rock-steady build, and plenty of room below deck to relax and unwind after tough fights.
When targeting Halibut, you will be dropping baits and jigs into Captain Al’s favorite holes. Where you fish depends on the weather and how serious you are about catching huge fish. The Kenai Peninsula is known as “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World”, though, so they’ll be pretty big wherever you are!
Salmon fishing focuses on slow-trolling and mooching, dragging lures and baits behind the boat to tease ferocious King Salmon onto your hooks. Book in for a combo trip, and you can target both these species on one day to bring in the best variety of fish!
Captain Al can arrange every part of your trip for you, from helping you book accommodation to transporting you down to the beach for launch. At the end of the trip, he will clean, fillet, freeze, and vacuum pack all your catch so it makes it home just as fresh as it came out of the ocean.
All trips are tailored to the goals and needs of each group. Your trip may end up being shorter or longer than stated depending on what the focus is on the day. One thing’s for sure - you won’t be heading home without some seriously tasty fish!
