Bill Wraps Charters operate a fully-rigged 36’ Hatteras. The vessel features a GPS and radio, as well as a multimedia system for your enjoyment during the trip. There’s a toilet on board, along with an air-conditioned cabin. Fighting chair as well as a cooler with ice for refreshments are all among the boat’s amenities.

The Bill Wraps team offers daily 4,6 and 8 hour trips, as well as multiple-day sport fishing charters. They fish the Puerto Rico trench (nicknamed the ‘Marlin Alley’), the sixth deepest waters in the world, deepest in the Atlantic and only a couple of miles ride from the dock. Each trip includes a Captain, mate, top of the line gear, baits, refreshments and snacks. During 6 and 8 hour trips, lunch and fruits are also included.

Captain Luis Iglesias has almost 20 years of professional fishing experience in the waters of Puerto Rico. He specializes in big game fishing for some of the world’s most sought-after pelagics that also happen to frequent these waters. Among others, you’ll be targeting Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Wahoo and many others. All trips are private charters in which you can bring up to six guests.

Crew was great. Seas were not favourable but we did get a nice King. A trill for the young man who caught it. Bill did a great job cleaning the fish which we ate right after the trip. Delicious.

Great Crew
Some rain and wind making the PR trench bumpy.
But always the Caribbean side producing action.
Till next bite

With fishing excursions, it could always go either way, good or bad. However, we had the most amazing 4 hour fishing trip today with Capt Irvan and Gery. They were both courteous and efficient and spoke English well. They were very knowledgeable and ran that boat seamlessly. These two are work horses and didn’t slow down during the whole 4 hours. We caught 5 total Mahi. Capt Irvan filleted those beauties for us so we could bring them home. I would recommend Bill Wraps Fishing Charters to anyone! Thank guys!

We have chartered boats for years and this was our worst experience ever.  Captain and crew were aloof, and almost 0 interaction.  In 5 hours -  not one bite.  I understand fishing is not always catching but part of hiring a local captain is to know what bait and what fish are biting now.  5 hours and never a word from our captain. Seas were very rough and our 16 year old got sea sick. We requested to end this crappy day early.  When we returned to dock capt church sayed “well maybe we could have caught something in that last 45 minutes”  making my son feel even worse.  Unnecessary insult to a bad day.

It is clearly non fundamental to measure the performance of a charter operation based on having a no strike day or in the fishing lingo getting SKUNKED. Every fisherman gets it day of no bites, During the morning briefing for safety and fishing plan, it was clearly stated that your posse wanted to target Blue Marlin (Makaira Nigricans), so there was no use to stay in the shallows targeting smaller species and also it was clearly stated the weather forecast and sea conditions. So with your vast fishing experience you should have known on what rodeo you were entering.
The interaction between crew and clients is important and when the trip started as I can recall you and your sister were with me, the captain, on the flying bridge up to the first 35 minutes of the trip. During that time I can recall plenty of conversations, but once you and your sister went to the cockpit no body else went to the flying bridge to interact with the captain and is impossible for me to leave the vessel unmanned to go and hang out in the cockpit. The next interaction was when you proceeded to give the order to return to dock. During the whole trip the mate came in several occasions to the flying bridge to inform me on what was happening downstairs.
There are 3600 opportunities to catch a fish in one hour on a 6 hr trip there are 21,600 opportunities. You only used 18,000 of your opportunities or maybe were just the bunch of bananas you brought to the boat in the morning that jinxed you with bad luck.
Thanks for the constructive criticism and encourage you to come with us again to see if your luck changes. I will give you an extra hour for free.
