Little River Sportfishing

Little River Sportfishing runs a variety of fishing trips around the praised waterways of South Carolina. Overlooking the Atlantic, Little River Sportfishing is your gateway to some of the finest fishing on the east coast, whether you want to chase Mackerel five miles from the coast, or head to the Gulf Stream and try to land a Marlin and Tuna.

At the helm you will find Capt. Keith, a second generation fisherman. He’s fished far and beyond, starting with his dad’s charter boats, only to have his own charter business which he now runs full time. Capt. Keith knows these waterways deeply and will take you to the hot spots to make your day on the water enjoyable.

You will be fishing from a 28’ Grady White boat that is powered by two 200 HP Yamaha engines. She is a stable vessel with a sharp bow. You will move with speed and stability. The vessel is fitted with GPS, a fishfinder, features outriggers and a fighting chair. There is a toilet onboard and anglers will also find an ice box, live bait well, and a selection of fishing gear, including Penn reels. On top of that, there are a bed and a refrigerator onboard.

The trips run year round and depending on how much time you have, you can fish the nearshore waters with your family on a half day trip, or head between 60 and 80 miles offshore to catch some impressive Tuna. It’s up to you—Capt. Keith and the first mate are there to help and make your day worthwhile. Gratuities of 30% for the mate are customary. The captain will bring all the gear, license, and will usually catch the bait at the start of the trip.

Pack your food, beverages, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera. No matter how skilled you are, here you will find a trip that works for you and your fishing buddies.

I am a second generation licensed USCG Captain with over 45+ years of fishing experience. I have operated vessels from row boats all the way to 57’ custom sport fishers. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. At the age of 11, I began working on my father’s charter boat, the Scorpio II out of the famous Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. That was the beginning of a unique love of the ocean and offshore fishing that continues today. After several summers as a mate for dad, I moved on to finish high school and then college. In the meantime, dad decided to give up charter fishing and make a life in the home building industry. Still, me and dad fished together on smaller vessels, fishing for recreation as well several tournaments over the years. Finally, after me and my wife had raised our two children to young adulthood, I decided it was time to follow my childhood dream of chartering my own vessel.
