Native Son Guide Service specializes in fishing trips in Topsail Beach and anywhere from Swansboro down to the Mouth of the Cape Fear. Captain Michael and his crew catch a variety of species indigenous to the area. They welcome anglers of all skill levels but especially enjoy watching children reeling in their first fish.
Capt. Michael comes from a family of fishermen who owned Old Topsail. He grew up fishing the area and can show his guests the best grounds. With him, you will be able to taste fishing with a local like a local.
When Native Son Guide Service is concerned, every fishing trip is all about you. Capt. Michal will help you decide what Is best for the weather conditions and the tides. If you want, you can begin your day by catching bait and sit in the creeks for Flounder and Red and Black Drum. You can troll for Kingfish and Spanish Mackerel.
If you wish, you could venture right out of the Inlet to go for Sharks of Black Bass. You could spend your day going after Cobia, Bonito, False Albacore, and Sheepshead. The opportunities abound!
All trips come inclusive with the tackle by Crowder rods and Quantum reels, along with Accurate reels for bottom fishing and trolling and Sage fly rods. A fish cleaning service is also available at no extra cost. You will have to bring your own snacks and drinks with you if you want.
Capt. Michael will take you, your friends, or family aboard his 22’ Lake and Bay boat. Built in 2010, this spacious fishing machine comes powered by a single 250 HP Suzuki engine and is outfitted with the latest technologies for a productive day out.
