This was our first time booking a private fishing trip. Captain Mike was fantastic.  He know the area well and knows his fish. We had a slow first half but Captain Mike didn’t give up and we hit up many spots. The second half of the day was great and we landed some fish. Captain Mike cleaned two of the fish and we ate them for dinner. It was amazing!    I highly recommend captain Mike wether you’re a novice or experienced fisher.

Having grown up in a New England fishing family I can tell you that Capt. Mike is the real thing. Capt. Mikes instincts to read the water, bait, tides, and environment are readily apparent.  His work ethic to get you on the fish is his top priority.  We battled all day day to get fish on the boat when my son landed the first fish his first instinct was to hug my son enough said. Top 10 day.

My son and I took a fantastic trip fishing under the guidance of Capt. Mike.  Everything was ready when we got there, and we went straight out to some of the Captain’s favorite spots and trawled and then cast on an incredibly still ocean. A bucket full of Spanish mackerel later and many great conversations - we are completely satisfied and highly recommend the Native Son.

The trip I booked with Mike was a 6hr morning trip. For how hard the bite was due to water temp, Mike was still able to put us on the fish! As an angler from up north who has not experienced salt water fishing prior to this trip, we had a good day given the conditions. Very knowledgeable on what to throw to get a good experience.

Our day was very cold with it being January, but Captain Mike was cheerful and took us to many different fishing spots. We caught a few fish under his patient direction, and overall had a very very good time! We are looking forward to booking a fishing trip with Captain Mike again in the warmer months, and we highly recommend him. He helped us cast into tough or tight spots, helped bait our hooks and remove the fish, and had awesome knowledge of the area. Thanks Captain Mike!
