Broad Horizons Guide and Charter Service invites you to fish the beautiful Salmon and Oswego Rivers, as well as any of the smaller Lake Ontario tributaries.
The season begins in autumn and goes through the winter months. In mid-September, Chinook Salmon and Coho Salmon start their run up the tributaries to spawn. They are followed by trophy Steelhead and Brown Trout. If you want to enjoy some fine freshwater angling, New York’s Lake Ontario rivers and streams are the places to be.
A 17’ Fish-Rite drift boat is another vessel in the Broad Horizons’ collection. It can comfortably take a couple of anglers. The boat is powered by the river itself and a 15 HP Mercury engine.
On your day out, you will mainly be float fishing and back-trolling with centerline and spinning gear. Your guide will provide all the necessary rods, tackle, and bait.
If you want to go for Salmon, the trips run from September through October. Trout trips are longer and usually begin in November and continue through March.
Your guide has nearly two decades of fishing experience on Lake Ontario. His primary goal is to offer the best fishing opportunities possible and promote a well-rounded lake fishing charter. With Broad Horizons Guide Service, it will be more than ‘just fishing’.
