Apalachee Bay Charters

Apalachee Bay Charters offers an inshore experience of a lifetime. Explore the murky shallows of the Apalachicola coastline, combing grass flats, winding backcountry, and hidden bayous in search of huge game and table fish. Captain William Davis is a true local, having grown up in the area and fished these waters since childhood. With an unparalleled passion, he’s just the guy to show you the hidden gems of the Panhandle’s inshore.

Spend your day aboard Capt. William’s 20’ Shallow Water flats boat. Thanks to her 225 HP Yamaha engine, she cruises at almost 45 knots out in search of big fish. With a GPS and fishfinder on board, you’re certain of reaching some prominent spots. The boat is purpose-built for these shallow waters, with a draft that can chase fish into the skinniest waters, and a trolling motor so they never know you’re doing so!

Your target species for the day will be Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder, but you can also reel in seasonal specials like Cobia, Tarpon, and Black Seabass. You’ll mainly be drift fishing, sailing along the calm inshore waterways. You can expect amazing light tackle action, but fly fishing is also encouraged if you possess the necessary skills. Whatever you’re after, you’re in for plenty of tasty fillets at the end of the day.

All Apalachee Bay Charters come with tackle, live bait, lures, and fishing licenses for all onboard. All you need to bring is food, drink, and sunscreen. Capt. William will clean and fillet your catch, so just bring a cooler to put all that tasty fish in! If you want to get up close to the fish, there’s even snorkeling equipment free to use. With the whole family welcome, there’s something for everyone, so come down and see for yourself.

Captain William Davis grew up in Wakulla County. He has lived here his entire life and has been fishing these waters all that time. Capt. William's father started taking him fishing out on the Forgotten Coast when he could barely even walk and he has been at it ever since. Fishing has become his passion and his lifestyle.
