Azores Fishing - Galáxia 32' 

We booked a big fish trip for the family vacation. 4 adults, 3 kids ages 7-12. Unfortunately after 3 hours of the 4 hour trip we did t have any bites or fish. Diogo asked if we would want to try for some deal fish for the last hour so the kids could have some hands on fishing. The kids had a blast and caught 4 small fish. A couple lizard fish which they thought were cool to see and another fish that was a keeper. The boat was very nice and they provided snacks, waters, local beer. We had a great time on the water, despite not catching the tuna we were craving. I would definitely recommend this trip.

My family and I had a great time bottom fishing with Paulo and Sofia. They were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on the island. The boat and the gear was all in great shape. The crew was very attentive, offering drinks and snacks throughout the day. We barely had to lift a finger. It was really a first class experience. The captain would move the boat when needed to keep us in the action. There was plenty of fish for our party. The crew was very good about trying to handle the fish with care to release them safely. We were very impressed with the entire operation. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

The captain and mate could not have been more helpful. The boat I signed up for had bad fuel so the captain upgraded to a larger boat at the same charter rate. Unfortunately that boat was at a different marina than where the cruise ship docked . The captain picked me up and returned me to cruise dock. Now the fishing. The mate was first rate. The big eye tuna (240lbs) took 1 hr 20 mins to land. We had a great weather window and the sea was flat calm. I can’t say enough positive about my outing. I would fish with these gentlemen in a minute. Thank you Captain Diogo and mate Vasco.

Captain did everything that he could to put us on the fish. We got two great bigeye Tuna’s and had the best day.

We have been fishing all over the World and this was truly one of the best experiences! It was a trip of a lifetime . Couldn’t ask for a better Captain and crew , and loved Galaxia as well ! Lifelong memories and friendships. Thankyou! Very knowledgeable, and The hospitality and fresh local food ❤️🙏!! Such a treat !

Andrea and Paulo were amazing and taught us everything needed for bottom fishing and helped us land some really nice grouper landed. We learned a lot about the speicies around the azores and how to catch them. the food prepared onboard was excellent aswell. Fishing was quite hard due to being low season but the crew still managed to find some would reccommend to others visiting the island as it caters to all skill. Will be back for some more fishing soon.

It was a great first time experience spesrfishing on such a blue water. We chatted a bit about where I was in terms of comfort and decided on a few spots that fit me like like a glove. Even if I had the sniffles :P Paulo also took us for a quick stop so I could experience blue water hunting, even if I did not try to take shot, as my gun was too short for the range at which the barracudas were staying, so I decided to just hang at 11m and watch them :D All in all, great experience and definitely coming back at some point!

Captain Paolo and his first mate were very professional, engaging, and thoughtful. Really active in catching smaller fish (up to 19 within the first hour of bottom fishing!), but due to weather conditions and some less sea worthy members of the family, we had to move to trolling, where the barracuda were not on board with the plan for the day…. Still a great experience! Would do it again but may have to leave some folks at home next time. (4 hour trip in the morning)

Good fishing day! Hooked a180 lb tuna, fought to bring it in, and got it to the boat, grabbed the leader making it a legal catch, but it got off the hook before we got pictures. Bummer!! But, it was a catch!!!! Top notch captain and mate. They made it a great fishing experience. Would highly recommend a charter with this captain.
