Tight Lines Charter – Keys 

We had booked a 3 person half day charter for Tarpon fishing with Jeff. Jeff had us hooked on the Tarpon less than 5 minutes after dropping anchor. Everyone caught at least 1-2 Tarpon per person and the fight that these fish put up is unforgettable. We had the best time and would highly recommend Tight Lines Charter and Captain Jeff did a great job getting us on the Tarpon and had great patience with us for fighting a long battle with each tarpon. We also encountered a hammerhead shark that unfortunately ate our last catch of the day. By far the best fishing trip I’ve ever been on! Thanks again for a great day of fishing and will be booking another trip for next year.

I enjoyed a fantastic 3/4 day out on the water with Jeff. 2 massive Tarpon and a Permit brought to the boat then released, the largest of which was 68 inches long and 39 inches girth and an estimated 136 lbs. The rest were brutal bust-offs after spectacular tussles and aerobatics. Jeff is a first class guide; knowledgeable, helpful and great company. I would whole heartedly recommend him to the serious angler wanting to fulfil their BIG Tarpon fantasies.

Captain Jeff was great. He put me on tarpon in the first 10 minutes of the trip. I had 6 hookups and got 2 to the boat. Captain Jeff's knowledge, skill and personality made my trip one of the best outdoor experiences of my life. He not only put me on fish but also worked hard to accomodate my limited mobility. This oldtimer appreciates all the work Captain Jeff did to get me my "Bucket List" tarpon.

Catching a Tarpon has always been on our bucket list so we scheduled a two day trip with Capt. Jeff. Not only did each of us get to catch a tarpon but we hooked up with more than 10 and got 5 to the boat. I have been on many many fishing charters over the years with many captains and I have never had a captain that is so easy to get along with, knowledgable, and hard working as Capt. Jeff. I would recommend this trip and particularly Captain Jeff to anyone looking to catch a big Tarpon! See you next year Captain Jeff!

I’ve always wanted to catch a large tarpon. In planning a trip to south FL with the family I wanted to include a fishing trip. Not being from there, I did some research about when and where to fish for them. My research led me to fishing the middle keys in May. After reading reviews I settled on captain Jeff through fishingbooker. He was great to deal with prior to the trip and setting up the time and meeting place. He sought to understand what I wanted from the trip. I wanted to catch a “Bucket list” tarpon, and I wanted to have my wife and kids to come along and fish. He made several suggestions, and he told me he would work hard to get me that fish and accommodate my request. Captain Jeff was a great guide. He was pleasant, kind to my family, helpful in explaining how to fish for tarpon and knowledgeable about the area and the fish we were targeting. We hooked 7 fish and boated 3 tarpon from 50-100 lbs. I caught my “bucket list” tarpon, and both of my kids caught one. Captain Jeff was great at maneuvering the boat and giving instructions throughout the 30min battle. After boating 3 nice fish, my last cast hooked a monster tarpon. The fight was on, and the massive fish went airborne once so we could see just how big he was. After a mere 10 minute battle the ferocious fighter wrapped my line around a piling snapping my line like a thread. What an exhilarating morning on the water. We only saw a couple of hookups on the other boats around us, but we were blessed to have so many hookups and to boat 3 of the fighting giants. Captain Jeff said he would work hard for us, and he did just that. I’m sure there are other guides out there that do a great job, but Captain Jeff will be my choice in the future. He certainly kept our lines "Tight" for most of the morning; I can’t recommend him high enough.

I have been on many guided fishing in South Florida and Florida keys. This BY FAR was the best experience ever!!! Captain Jeff is very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the time of their lives. We caught 100+ lb Tarpon with him. He was genuinely excited for each of or catches. I look forward to fishing with him again in the near future!!!

My friend and I went tarpon fishing with Captain Jeff Zellers on a 6 hour trip. Fishing conditions were not ideal, with steady east wind and a good bit of chop on the water. Captain Jeff did a great job anchoring the boat in such position to optimize our hook up chances. We brought one to the boat and jumped and fought4 others. We did not see any other boats with a hookup. Captain Jeff is patient, pleasant, and knows his stuff on the tarpon fishing. I would recommend him highly.

Our captain worked the water the entire time and kept us on the fish. Very knowledgeable and professional. We had a great time.

Wish I could say it was horrible so I could keep him to myself. But I can’t. The trip was everything I expected and more. Bucket list item for me and he did not disappoint. Great trip, he even suggested we wait a few hours so conditions would improve. Thank you Jeff we will be back
