awesome experience with an amazing crew

Captain Vinnie and First Mate Miles took us on a great trip to catch striped bass! We had a range of experience in the group and they helped us all successfully catch fish. We started around 4:30am and caught live bait, and then we went out to catch our striped bass. Captain Vinnie put us on the fish and you could tell that he knew what he was doing, knew the area extremely well, and knew most of the other captains on the water. We had a great time!

Captain and Mate definitely made this trip personable. They didn’t hold back from treating us like family. Took a second for me to learn the fishing lingo but Miles was more than patient in showing me the ropes. My son loves Captains way about him what can ya say he is authentically him. The fishing was great caught amazing striper and some blue fish. I honestly think this trip wouldn’t have been the same without Captain Vinnie and Miles. Captain is quick to bust your balls and is hilarious and slick at the mouth but nonetheless he is genuine and was a gentleman for sure. Coming back in spring time booking soon

Second trip with Vinnie, this time fly fishing. Great time again. Lots of fish at the start of the session, with “two fish on” several times with my friend Richard. Slowed later but the tides and winds were against us. Brilliant.

As an experienced angler, I prefer to use artificial lures and light tackle to catch fish. Big party boats and live bait don’t have the same appeal to me anymore. Captain Vinnie is one of the few charters I’ve been able to find in New York to accommodate top tier artificial lure fishing and make it accessible for all levels of angling experience. The Karen Anne Crew constantly put our group on fish, chasing stacks of striped bass and giving us the best chance to hook up to fish. Vinnie is clearly a knowledgeable captain and knows these waters better than anyone. Everyone in our group from novices to seasoned hookers went home happy and with fish. I’ll be going again soon. I had never fished the Atlantic this far north so it was a completely new experience. This was not a problem at all. Captain Vinnie fishes these waters everyday during the New York fishing season and we zipped from spot to spot- The action was early and often! Caught my first striper right off the bat and the morning flew by from there . The first one we got trolling and then we ended up jigging the bottom and stripers we’re getting pulled onto the boat left and right. I went along on a trip with 5 other people I had never met and soon found out many of the people were repeat clients who exclusively fish with this outfit- when I’m in the area again I will be added to that list of repeat clients. I can’t thank the crew enough for their generosity and professionalism, they were one of the best charters I had ever gone out with. Answered all my questions - and everybody else’s and provided the gear if you did not bring your own. Even if a person had zero experience fishing this would be a great crew to team up with . They’ve got a forever customer

Captain Vinnie was great. He was extremely professional and very responsive. The boat and equipment were great. We were a group of 2 dads and 2 sons and he took care of everything, putting us on fish all day. We did a half day trip and caught close to 50 stripers and blues. We'll be back for sure.

On the way to the boat, my 10 year old son & I said we might catch a fish but doubted any of them would be bigger than the palm of our hand. Then, within 15 minutes of leaving the dock, we caught a huge striped bass. Then bluefish. And more bass. By the end of the day, our boat brought in dozens of fish and kept a half dozen or so we could legally keep. Captain Vinnie & Roger were extremely knowledgeable & helpful. And they were also kind, going out of their way to make sure my son was happy and having a good experience. We kept moving from spot to spot, following the activity of birds who were a sign of fish underneath. Without Vinnie & Roger know where to go and when, I would be casting all day without a nibble. Even just moving around the bay on a beautiful day was a wonderful experience. Finally, when we were back on the dock, Roger generously cleaned the fish for all of us and we took it home. My wife was amazed and said it was delicious. I highly recommend this trip. The next time my son wants to go fishing, I will be sure to call Captain Vinnie. Thank you, Vinnie & Roger!!!

We wanted to catch Stripers again and the first person we thought of was Capt. Vinnie who took us out 2 yrs ago. Another great trip and absolutely beautiful day. He knows where the fish are and he did not disappoint. We got the fish and the pics to prove it.
