Backwater Tarpon Fishing PR 

My 11yr old fishing maniac loved it. I had 4 kids on the trip and we had some bites. A couple were noticeably big tarpons but this type of fishing compared to small river and lake fishing is a lot different and kids jumped to rods a bit quick and the captain tried his best to coach them. He was truly amazing with the kids. My boy landed a barracuda toward the start of the trip. We could see fish swimming around and jumping and even tried a couple of other spots and bait but the fish just werent as willing to take the hook. We did the 4 hour trip so maybe trying an additional spot or two would have landed something but as with all fishing…some days you land a lot and some days you dont and you just enjoy being out in nature watching the fish jump and try to avoid you! and you practice patience a d trust in the guide. I think we fed a lot of fish and we fed some pelicans!

Captain Gabriel was amazing. What a kind, amazing, and professional Captain. Our son caught a huge Tarpon, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We caught a few other smaller fish but the tarpon was the highlight. We had never booked a charter like this anywhere, so we didn’t know what to expect. The captain was very informative, answered all of my questions. Did a great job at explaining how to reel in Tarpon. I caught 4 fish, three small and 1 big one. He took us around to different areas in the water to look for the fish. There was powerades and water available. He took photos and a video and sent them to us as well. Overall great experience. Will definitely book this trip again in the future! Thank you Capt. Tommy.

They’re big, smart and aggressive. hard to catch but sure are fun when you land one! Captain Mateo is an experienced fisherman and licensed driver. This trip is good for rookies or pros. He guided us to some action! No fish tale, we got into some big ones, just couldnt land ‘em. We’d go again!

Our family had a great time fishing from 5:45-9:45 am. Half of us caught fish and mine was a tarpon that was over 60 pounds! Our captain was very nice and taught us what we needed to know to have a great morning of fishing. I would definitely do it again.

This was my wife and my first guided trip. first fishing on any type of salt water, and maybe my wifes 20th time fishing. it was a blast we caught a few fish, had more bites. Alex was great, he deserves big kudos for his patience and his intelligence on the water. Book with Alex!

Amazing fishing trip with Captain Abi! We will definitely book another charter on our next trip to PR. Boated two fish. One Tarpon and a Mangrove Snapper. Had plenty of action and bites, sometimes you catch them all and sometimes you dont. 10/10 would do it again!

I booked a six hour tour focusing on Snook and Tarpoon 7am to 1pm. At first, the bites were not there. The fish were not interested in lures. The minute we switched to live bait, the action was lively and plentiful. Shout-out to Manny out Captain.

great captain and good trip, only wished i booked 6 or more hours. We got to see a lot of wildlife including manatee and sting ray, caught several Tarpon. I wish we had caugh some baracooda too but didnt have any steel leaders rigged, but wouldnt expect anyone to have that setup on a tarpon fishing trip. Got a little crazy a few times, only had to put one kid in a headlock.
