Tombstone Charters 

Had an absolute blast fishing. The water was a little rough, but we were still down to go out so Captain Jared and Spencer were ready to go as well. We landed 6 decent size Mahi and one big kingfish. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a charter out of the Atlantic Beach/Morehead City area. While others were not having the best luck that day we were pulling in everything we wanted. I highly recommend mentioning what you really want to catch and Captain Jared will do a solid job at putting you on.

My wife and I had the privilege of celebrating our 10th anniversary fishing with captain Jared and his son. They put us right on the fish and handled the boat perfectly, smoothly navigating between swells. They both are very knowledgeable about the area and about the fish you are wanting to target. They went out of their way, and exceeded expectations in every way. I couldn't recommend them enough. If you want an enjoyable experience, you can't go wrong with Tombstone!

Just from the start of the day it felt like it was gonna be a good day, Captain Best sounded knowledgeable letting us know about the weather and water temp and our options and chances lf what will be there to catch. He put us out there and caught a varitey of fish from a pretty king mackerl and bonito and then multiple blues and bass. Captain Best and his mate Spencer were very helpful and good guys to spend the day with. They will even get just as excited as you will as you haul in you catch. I’d recommend Tombstone to any who asks and will definitely plan another charter again.

We had a awesome day boat crew and the fishing was great! We caught a bunch of fish. Limited out on snapper we caught Mahi, king mackerel, and jacks. Great trip for the family or just the guys had a great time!

Firstly, my son and I had such a good experience that we're looking at scheduling another trip for the summer. This was my son's first time on the water, and CPT Jared was able to put us right on the fish despite a curveball from the weather. CPT Jared did a great job of balancing getting on fish with picking spots that would be the least windy and choppy, and his deckhand was fantastic with my son. My son was smiling the whole time, and he was so tired after catching fish all afternoon that he slept the whole way back to the dock.

Very friendly and helpful, very easy going providing a relaxed atmosphere making a more enjoyable trip. We were catching fish 10 minutes into the trip, and caught fish the entire trip. Not uncommon to have 3 poles with fish on at the same time. Spence was awesome and quick as lightning getting the fish off and the line back in the water. 💯 % recommend them! If you want to catch fish and have an enjoyable trip this is The crew you want!

For my grandson's high school graduation, we wanted to gift him a chartered fishing trip. The six of us were completely new to this experience, but Capt. Jared and his son Spencer made us feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed the entire time we were out. Without us asking, he also paid particular attention to our grandson since this was a special gift. It's obvious Capt. Jared has been fishing his entire life - he's the type of person you just want to sit and talk to for hours because he has so many great stories & experiences to share. Capt. Jared made the entire process from beginning to end smooth and fun for all of us. And, as an added bonus, we had a huge amount of freshly caught fish for dinner that evening. You can't control the weather (ours was perfect though), but you can certainly pick the best company to go out with, and Tombstone Charters is just that - the best.

Captain Best and his crew member were great, had some people come with me who had never been on a boat before and had got seasick, Captain Best and his crew member handled it very well and made them feel safe and helped them the best they could. The captain put us on mahi and some barracuda and even switched up the tackle to get mackerel that were biting. Great captain and crew. Great fishing. Great experience. Highly recommend this team to any angler with experience or newbies. Will be booking more trips with them any chance I get.

Seas were a bit rough and the wind was blowing blowing pretty good but we got after it and managed to catch a 5 man limit of American Reds and vermillion snapper. Quite an other species like trigger fish and banks bass. Caught a couple of amberjacks and an almaco jack. Even snagged a few Mahis on the way back in. Total of 170 pounds of fish. We must have thrown back almost 200 grunts. We think we caught upwards of 300 fish in total. Jared is very knowledgeable about the area and did a great job of putting us on the fish in tough conditions. Do yourself a favor and book with Tombstone Charters!

Today we were able to connect with Kings, Amberjacks, Vermillion Snapper, Triggers, Seabass and Grunts. Very pleased with captain Jareds effort to continue to try new spots when the bite got slow. The captain and his son were very easy to work and get along with. Overall great trip and will be planning another trip with him in the future. Highly recommend the high energy charter if you’re looking for a great day of fishing.
