Even before I stepped foot in Galveston I felt like Capt. Jay and I were old fishing buddies, although I hadn’t wrapped my fingers around a fishing rod in over 20 years! Before I left home Jay gave me a call and asked what I wanted out of this trip. I just wanted to catch some fish. There was no problem with that request. I had a bite within seconds of my first cast! That was the one that got away, but there were plenty more to come! I had no idea I’d be reeling in so many fish! “That’s a croaker!” Jay said as I actually heard a fish I caught croak. We released it to swim another day, but I was pulling in red drums that were measuring over twenty inches! After I caught my limit of red drums I reeled in my limit of trout. Wow! A guy could get used to this! Even if I had just caught an old tire and a couple of shoes, I still would have had a blast. Jay was full of stories, and we hit it off great. What a fun day of fishing!

Captain Jay was really nice and put us on some fish from the start. My husband caught his 29’ in. trout within the first 15 minutes. He took us to a lot of spots and moved us around so we could catch. He was so nice and helpful. He gave us water and Gatorade’s. He was very attentive and helped me cast out because I was having trouble at first. He gave us a lot of advice and tips. He made us feel comfortable and we had a lot of fun. We caught trout, red fish and black drum. I highly recommend Captain Jay Garcia. Looking forward to booking our next trip with him soon. Best birthday ever!!!

Great morning catch! Captain Jay is our kind of guy. Our hooks never went without live bait, even casting in the sweet spot for fish was constant. His goal was getting fish not just for sport but at a pace that was family friendly to all levels of skill. The speckled trout were the fish we came for and the fish we left with. There were others, piggy fish, Crocker , ribbon fish and a few others all equally fun to catch and throw back. It was a great morning of fishing!

Had a blast with the family and Captain Jay Garcia! Was a little concerned about taking the kids out on the boat but the trip was super kid friendly, Captain Jay was great with the kids very patient. Very professional and got us on fish . Highly recommend him if you wanna have a good time fishing!

My boss is in town so we figured we’d do a little fishing in Galveston. We chose Capt. Jay based on his excellent reviews and I must say we where not disappointed! Caught our first keeper trout in the first 10 minutes then made a quick move to another area and it was game on! Filled our limit on trout before 8 am and even caught a few big reds! Capt. Jay was a blast to be on the water with, we will definitely be planning another trip with him in the future!

We decided to go on a last minute trip to Galveston for Labor Day weekend and booked a full day with Capt. Jay. It was the best day ever! He called the night before our scheduled day to ask about our level of experience, and was ready and waiting for us at 6am with equipment catered to each person. We had bait in the water within 20 minutes of boarding the boat and catching fish soon after that! Redfish & Speckled trout. My wife, an amateur caught a 24" Redfish within the hour. Jay was funny, quick, skilled, and kind. He knew all the right spots. I recommend him for the family, the experienced fisherman, and everyone in between. Thank you Capt. Jay for this amazing memory! We will definitely be back for another trip!

This was a great experience! I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband & so glad Captain Jay made me look good! He took us straight to the fish & one after another we caught our limit! It was such a great feeling! He was the perfect Captain and by the end of our trip, we felt like we knew each for years! Amazing experience we booked him at the last minute and my Dad and I had a very memorable trip. It was nice that we started early in the morning cause the fish were biting and it wasn’t hot yet. Also we just didn’t stay at just one spot we fished numerous locations to try to catch as many fish as we could. Will definitely be going again.

We had an awesome time on the water with capt. Jay! This was my first experience with salt water fishing. We got off to a slow start but within a few hours we still caught all the fish we could keep and still had time for some catch and release. Thanks Capt. Jay
