Fishin Mission Charters – Catfish 

We booked last minute and found Captain Paul to go out for catfish. Paul communicated with me right away to answer some questions we had. Our kids have never landed any fish so I was really hoping that we'd have success. Paul brought two friends of his along, who were seasoned anglers as well, and we had a blast getting to know them while we put our lines in the lake. The results - we pulled in somewhere around 40 fish over the 4 hour trip, which was an incredible outcome. Our youngest landed a 32 inch channel cat, which will qualify her for a Fish Ohio Trophy pin! Thanks to Paul, Cory, and Melinda for making this one for the record books. I've done other private charters before, and this was the best. Great crew, super knowledgeable, amazing with the kids, and the fish were practically jumping in the boat! We'll be back for sure!

I took my 15 year old son and his best friend, they both have had recent personal losses, Captain Paul poured all of his kindness and expertise into these boys. He not only taught them the correct way to set up gear, real the fish in, everything was safety first! He shared with us the history of the islands and was very entertaining! We had to end our trip a little early because a storm was approaching, we all worked to get the gear in properly and quickly. He was great at doing what he does and it was a very enjoyable experience!

We had an unforgettable experience fishing with Captain Paul on Fishin Mission Charter in Sandusky Bay! From the moment we stepped on the boat, Paul made the day fun, smooth, and exciting—especially for the kids. The catfish were biting nonstop, and our boys each caught a trophy-sized fish—29.5” and 31.5”! Altogether, we probably reeled in about 20 fish! We also brought our 6-month-old along, and Paul couldn’t have been kinder. He got such a kick out of the kids fishing (and our baby girl spectating). He was so welcoming and made sure everyone—from the littlest passenger to the most competitive fisherman—had a great time. Captain Paul was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. We released all the fish, but still came home feeling like we’d made the best catch of the day. Highly recommend Fishin Mission Charter for a fun, family-friendly fishing trip. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Captain Paul was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun facts. He was terrific with our 12 and 15 year old and made true fishermen out of both with the perfect blend of hands on training but independence to let them do things on their own. He knew the perfect place to go so that we were able to catch a ton of Walleye, even though it is a little late for optimal Walleye season. We will definitely book with him again. Highly recommend!

We had a spectacular time with Paul on his Pontoon boat. Altogether there was six of us. This was a trip that could be enjoyable for adults and/or kids at all experience levels. Our trip consisted of two adults and four kids aged 10-14. Paul was personable and great with giving tips, baiting the lines, betting the fish, and he was quite a knowledgeable captain. Multiple photos and videos were also a surprise part of the deal. It was such a relaxing time on the lake that catching 45 fish was just a bonus. I highly recommend using Paul and plan on spending time with him on the lake again in the future.

We did a 4 hour trip for catfish in the bay. It started off slow but the bite picked up later in the morning. We caught a total of about 10 cats and 1 drum, including a 27.5 inch state citation fish. Paul is a great captain. Friendly, sociable, and knowledgeable. He kept us entertained with stories while waiting for the fish to get active.

Have never been on Lake Erie and didn't know what to expect. We took the walleye boat out, catfished for 4 hours. Everyone caught fish. Then when things died down a bit, we switched over to trolling for walleye. Did very well and learned a lot. Captain was friendly and knowledgeable and kept us all safe. Will definitely go again!

I planned this fishing mission as a gift to my husband for his birthday. The boats captain, Paul S., made it amazing! He worked with me to get my boys on the boat first to surprise their dad! They caught lots of fish and had a great time! Thank you!!
