He knew exactly where to take us to get on the fish, and thanks to his experience we had an incredible day catching fish. The adventure didn’t stop there. Toni took us to the breathtaking Blue Cave and then to a beautiful secluded beach where we enjoyed a peaceful swim in crystal-clear water away from the crowds. It was the perfect mix of fishing, sightseeing, and relaxation. Toni is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. If you’re visiting Hvar and want an authentic day on the Adriatic, do yourself a favor and book a trip with him. It was easily one of the highlights of our time in Croatia. Booking Toni’s Sport Fishing was the best decision we made during our time in Hvar. My three sons and I spent six hours on the Adriatic with Toni at the helm, and every minute counted. He’s exactly the kind of captain you hope for: friendly, patient with first-timers, and genuinely bent on putting fish in the boat. The 5:30 AM start went fast because Toni kept us engaged the whole time, working different spots until we got bites. We came back with multiple John Dory — a prized local catch — and three sons grinning ear to ear in the photos to prove it. What set the day apart wasn’t even on the water: when we got back to Hvar, Toni took the time to point us to a local restaurant that would cook our catch for dinner that night. That’s not standard charter behavior — that’s a host who genuinely wants you to have a great trip. If you’re going to be in Hvar and you want a real day on the water with someone who knows the waters, treats you like family, and goes the extra mile, book with Toni. Highly recommended.

We had a great day on the water. Couldn't have asked for better conditions, calm and sunny. We started with fishing for bait fish, and didn't catch much, but were able to get some from a net fishing boat. We also got to watch dolphins swimming behind that boat, as well as some interesting catches that they were releasing, such as a small shark and a sting ray! We caught some Red Snapper and then headed to Blue Cave, which was a neat experience. You purchase tickets and a small boat takes you into the cave. It is amazing how blue it really is. We then headed over to fish for John Dory, and caught a bunch of those!! Toni had beer for the guys and the girls had mimosas. Toni is an exceptional guide, we had a great day!

Toni was very communicative before we even booked our trip. Then he arrived on time, was well prepared and helped us catch several fish (John Dory), which we took home and cooked for dinner. One of the best days of our week in Croatia!

A wonderful morning!

My wife and I had a wonderful time fishing with Captain Toni for Big Game and Tuna! He was so incredibly easy to work with, being flexible with changes in weather, and his kindness and passion for fishing led to us catching a number of different species including pink snapper, red scorpion fish , and a trophy size Dentex! The Tuna fishing was tough today, but we still had such a beautiful time on the Adriatic. We would definitely recommend Captain Toni and hopefully are able to fish with him again on our next visit to Hvar!

Toni arrived on time, picked us up from our hotel and took us to many spots. The fishing was very slow, but Toni tried everything to help us catch fish which we eventually did. Not the monster fish we had dreamt of, but a couple of nice fish anyway. Toni could not have been more accommodating in trying to help us catch fish, and I would recommend a trip out with Toni anytime. Great day out, we really enjoyed the trip and Toni’s company

We recently enjoyed a fantastic fishing boat trip with Captain Toni, and it was an unforgettable experience for our family of four. With two boys aged 5 and 10, and not much fishing experience, we were a bit nervous about how things would go. But from our very first chat, Toni made us feel completely at ease. Locals had already spoken highly of him, so we knew we were in great hands. Throughout the day, Toni was amazing with our kids—patient, kind, and always encouraging. He was super flexible, open to our suggestions, and adapted the trip to suit us. While we didn’t have much luck with trolling, our luck turned around with jigging. We ended up catching plenty of fish, including a medium-sized John Dory, Little Tunny, Pink Snapper, and Red Snapper. It was thrilling for all of us, and the boys were absolutely delighted. Since we were staying at a hotel, Toni even took the time to clean the fish for us so we could have it cooked later. His attention to detail and genuine care made the experience feel so special. We all had an incredible time, and our boys can’t wait to go out fishing again. If you’re visiting Hvar and want a memorable day on the water, we can’t recommend Captain Toni enough. My wife and I booked a tuna fishing trip with Captain Toni out of Hvar. We were in Croatia for our honeymoon and I wanted to share a hobby of mine with my wife. A thunderstorm rolled in on the day of, captain Toni was responsive by messaging us and letting us know that the outing may need to be rescheduled for the next day. Luckily we went out the next day in attempt to find some tuna. I told Toni beforehand that I would like to try for tuna, but would love to catch anything that the Adriatic sea had to offer if the tuna wasn't biting. Over the course of the day Toni took us to various fishing spots in order to try for different fish species, as well as chasing tuna around bait balls. Towards the end we managed to catch a handful of red snapper and a john Dory. We both enjoyed our trip fishing, drinking, enjoying Toni's company and learning more about croatia. Toni went above and beyond by getting us to a spot to catch some fish and then making sure we had accomodations to eat what we caught. This trip was one of my favorite memories about croatia, it turned into the best meal we had in Croatia and I had a great time hanging out with Toni in the boat. I recommend Captain Toni to anyone who would like to fish the Adriatic. We are both grateful for our experience with him. Cheers!

My two sons (13 and 17), and I joined Toni for a day’s fishing from Hvar Port. The boat is fully equipped and comfortable and we got a very warm and friendly welcome from Toni and Phillip (Toni’s friend and assistant for the day). Toni quite clearly knows these waters and all the most likely fishing spots - the first few spots yielded not much, so we went for ‘Plan B’ which worked a treat! We all caught some fantastic Red Snappers, a Bream, two Moray Eels and the biggest catch of the day a huge Dentex Snapper caught by my youngest son. Phillip took some great photos of our catches with his special fisherman’s lens!! If you are in Hvar and love fishing we would strongly recommend Toni for a truly professional and fun day of fishing.
