Sportfishing Maestro – Reel Knotty 30' 

What a fantastic day. Capt Oscar met us at the Botanika pier at the agreed upon time and we were off. After a brief ride off shore, Capt and mate geared up rods and we fished for several hours, catching several good sized dorado, a wahoo, and even a small shark! Drinks and lunch were provided to help us keep our strength. Bringing in a 60lb dorado takes it out of you. For a first time deep sea fishing, didn’t know what to expect, but we were absolutely delighted with the overall experience. Highly recommend booking with Capt Oscar!

Captain Oscar provided an amazing experience. His knowledge and love of the local waters/area is obvious. He was flexible and changed the target fish to accommodate us. There was already live bait on board when we met up. Caught big tuna!! Mate Antony was great and made sure we stayed hydrated while in the long fight to get the fish on the boat. Epic day! Fishing on Mr Oscar’s 30’ boat was a pleasure. It was a comfortable ride offshore and there was plenty of room to lounge around and get out of the sun. The captain Jesus put us on the fish and the deckhand David was phenomenal. He worked extremely hard to make everything perfect. Our wives both had the pleasure of catching Sailfish and we all caught yellowfin Tuna. Thanks to everyone mentioned above for our 1st trip to Costa Rica. We definitely will be back and definitely will fish with Mr Oscar and his crew again.

Oscar is a fantastic guide, captain, and host. He got us into fish immediately and for the whole trip. Not only is he knowledgeable, but also super friendly and a great host providing everything you need to know to catch fish in PJ. They have a great boat with all the best fishing tackle/rods/reels. Lunch and plenty of drinks were provided. We caught heaps of fish and was constant from the minute we got out there. Book Oscar!

Had a great experience! Boat is fantastic! Can escape the sun for awhile if needed. First Mate David was exceptional! Provided great assistance when a tuna was a major battle!

Captain Oscar was great ! Very professional and was helpful to my son who had not been offshore fishing before. Although no one was able to find tuna that day, we had some good sailfish action and my son was able to catch release a nice Pacific sail early in the day.

It was perfect from the begining to the end !
