6-timers Stribet bars/Blåbars tur den July 20, 2026 • 4 voksneGreat weather, great captain/crew and great fishing! We caught a couple keepers and threw some big ones back. This was our second time out with Captain Doug. St pete’s sports fishing is the GOAT, they know how to get fish on the hook and are extremely professional. We will definitely be back to catch some more and hopefully for years to come. Oh and absolutely never bring a banana on captain Doug’s boat or you’re in for a long day ! LOL

The captain and first mate bob were knowledgeable, friendly and great with the boys! We caught so many fish that the boys were spoiled and were upset if we went more than a couple minutes without hooking up! Luckily that lnly happened a couple times during the whole outing!

Captain Doug and Mate Joe got us on the fish anyway and we brought in a haul of striped bass. What a day! These guys know how to get on the fish.

4-1/2 Times Stribet bars/Blåbars Tur den June 30, 2025 • 4 voksneThree adult family members and I went out with Capt. Doug and Mate Bob on a half day trip in Nantucket Sound. It was a gorgeous morning and Capt. Doug took us out to Point Monomoy on the St. Pete's. Capt. D. tried one location, quickly determined that the fish had moved, and took us to another location. There, we quickly began catching big Striped Bass on bottom jigs. Quite the exercise bringing them in. We switched to trolling with squid lures and continued pulling in beautiful stripers. I guess we caught 14-15 stripers, most too big to keep. Mate Bob did a great job of keeping our lines organized and maximized our fishing time. Capt. Doug kept the boat moving over the sand bars where the fish were feeding and positioning the boat so we could more easily get the fish in. We kept several fish which made great fish tacos for four families with plenty left over. The rest were returned to the water to feed and breed for another day. We returned to the dock happy with great memories of our first outing on Nantucket Sound. When we return, we'll be contacting St. Pete's for another fishing trip.

Even though the visibility wasn’t great, their knowledge of the local waters, focus on safety, calm teaching style, and sense of humor made it a blast from the very start. Beyond that, they had us on fish (many fish!!) despite the conditions! It was easily one of the most fun and incredible memory-making ways to spend the day with my son (setting some new family fishing records along the way!). If you’re looking to charter a fishing trip, stop looking and call Doug @ St. Pete Sport Fishing - you’ll thank me later.

4-1/2 Times Stribet bars/Blåbars Tur den June 28, 2024 • 3 voksne • 1 barnIt was pretty windy when we left the dock but Captain Doug did his best to ensure a smooth ride and find calmer water for the first part of the trip. We did catch some fish and fortunately the wind settled down allowing us to return to better fishing grounds where we hooked up very few minutes. The wire snapping technique was something new and fun and yielded great results. First Mate Bob helped my son (11yrs) and father (74yrs) get on some fish and we all had a blast. The boat had a nice cabin which kept us dry on the ride home. Over all Captain Doug and First Mate Bob were super friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we had a great time including catching dinner! I would recommend and book again!

This was the first time out for our family (3 boys under 10). Captain Doug and Bob had stripers on within 5 minutes of getting to our fishing destination! They were so helpful and encouraging to our children! Our kids are already asking to come back next year

The fish made us earn them, but after a couple of hours of searching, we found them and ended up putting together a solid catch with a few keepers for the cooler and some nice fish released to fight another day. That's what makes fishing so rewarding! Your kind words about our crew and professionalism mean a lot. We always do our best to make every trip enjoyable, no matter how hard the fish make us work. Seeing young anglers get excited every time a rod bends is one of the best parts of my job, and I'm glad Joe and I could keep the action coming for them. Their disappointment after going a whole couple of minutes without a fish definitely gave us a laugh!
